Murder Mile - Debut EP - Murder Mile Hard Core

Image of MMHC

Murder Mile are a thrash hardcore crossover band from the UK, who have recently released their vexed new EP, titled Murder Mile Hard Core, which sums up the offering brilliantly..

Opening track, ‘Brass Knuckles’ is a heavy slab of old school hardcore with modern thrash elements! It packs a punch with its colossal speed, belligerent screams, top class riffage and shredding solo, to add extra depth, showcasing their blend of angry at the world metal in style!

‘Burn The Hag’ offers no respite in this brutal assault of dark catchy riffs – although the tempo is slower than first offering it is still hot as hell metal.

‘Deathwish’ has a melodic more mellow intro, but this doesn’t last long! It features effective gang chants, in what is the most infectious track so far with many a head banging moment!

‘Devils’ displays some well-crafted instrumental sections, especially with tuneful riffs and breakdowns in this manic frenzied short lived explosion!

So we come to the end with, ‘Fall’ which keeps up the fast paced momentum seen throughout. Again we are treated to some melodic fierce chants in the chorus, along with nasty dark chugging guitars, fast drums, and some of the best vocal screams, ending in an unforgettable fashion, with them going out with all they have got and more!

This is one angry son of a bitch that you need to take notice off. It will get you riled up and trample all over you in the greatest sense with their no nonsense enraged thrash metal!

Rome Will Burn Self Titled EP Review

Rome Will Burn are still newcomers, but this electronic alternative pop duo from Arizona, consisting of Alyssa Suede and Manifesto are certainly making an impression with their recently released self titled EP..

First song and latest single, 'Chameleon' radiantly opens with complementary electronic and synth sounds to match the repetitive yet effective vocals. It has brilliant rhythms and melody, and the use of strong language, gives it a slightly harder pop edge. This will easily hide in your mind and is adaptable for listeners, as they achieve what they set out too, with their electronic pop with a difference!

'These Three Words' has a more fragile air to it, with stand out emotive vocals that resonant wonderfully, with sweet sappy lyrics to fit the context, showing they can diversify more-so, and with charming results.

'Waging Romance' has a dramatic more serious feel to, but is very strong and infectiously catchy, making it a must hear, and features some almost folk inspired sounds which keeps things exciting and fresh, and shows of the duo's eclectic tastes and talents well.

'Live By The Beat' truly embodies the 'beat' and keeps it strong and pounding throughout, in what is one of the most mainstream pop offerings so far, making for a great hit dance track contender with it's electronic pulse.

Final song, 'Body Language' is very slick and sultry and captures this in the synth sounds well, before diving into a full blown pop in your face explosion, which is extremely groovy and will make you want to move your 'body'. Again there are some surprises here, with talking to add to context and dance and folk elements again.

Rome Will Burn is a bit out of the norm for me, but that being said, this is a fun, exciting, intelligible and enjoyable self titled release. In these five songs, they manage to inject their unique influences and different moods in a clever and well constructed way. The duo's pretence is that people think there is nothing new or interesting in the genre of electronic pop, and I think anyone who hears this will easily agree that Rome Will Burn smash this idea and come out strong with their unique blend of electronic music. If you are looking for something inspiring and unusual, look no further!

Mars Royal - Berserker Single Review

Alternative rockers, Mars Royal from Indiana are looking to grow on their expanding fan-base, and with new single, "Berserker", and a new EP due for release late spring/early summer 2016, now is a crucial time for the band.

The intro to, "Berserker" gains your attention with isolated drumming, before distorted guitars kick in, and is quickly accompanied by the full swing of vibrant instruments. The vocals jump in at a fast pace and possess plenty of positivity, in both delivery and lyrically. As although the title could well suggest this single is some brutal insane creation, it is quite the musical opposite, which makes a surprising contradiction, being rather chilled out with hopeful inspiring energy, and having an almost indie feel good vibe, which the majority should enjoy.

Mars Royal have a interesting and refreshing sound they have produced through their array of influences, so it will be good to see what musical journey they embark upon on their upcoming EP.

Red Martian - Ghost Into The Fog EP Review

Red Martian describe their sound as neue-shoegazer, as they are trying to bring back this genre from the late 80s/early 90s that was born, known as Post-Paisley Underground but they have done so with a modern twist, to help create their own 'alien' sound on their new concept EP..

Opening title track, "Ghost Into The Fog" is highly atmospheric and melodic, with well written lyrics and vocals that sound distant from front-man, Stephen..like that of objects clouded by 'fog'. This is an intelligible offering which makes for a great opener!

"None" sounds instantly more upbeat with solid rock vibes still, and brilliant instrumental sections to lose yourself in, and transcend even further, with spacey sounding vocals to add to the ambient huge presence this one has. It also keeps you guessing with transitions in timing!

The next track is know as みなぞう which means 'Minazo' of course! Everyone knows that?!..So yeah this perfectly normal named track is dynamic with catchy droning guitars, a stand out chorus, and more varied vocals, making it very memorable and melodic..so its easy to see why this is going down a storm!

"Undertow" has downbeat sounding guitars and energetic drums, giving it an indie alt edge, but again keeping things coherent and consistent, it has a far out sound to fit the concept of the album!

"Use"is another stand out offering that highlights what the band is all about! It has a far reaching sound, with brilliant fluidity to the instruments, with stand out vocal fluctuations to pierce through the haze of the deep quilted instrumentals, but all remaining as one cohesive component, that works wonders!

"Won't" sees a shift of sound and is a slower paced number, that may not grab you as much as some of the others, at least not initially.. but give it a few listens and it will unearth it's hidden brilliance, with its rather sombre 'dream' like state!

"Ingenting" has a positive serene sound for the most part, but further into track we are greeted with effective strong synth sounds that help give it even more depth and substance.

So we reach the final song, "Ago" which again exhibits an indie vibe, with great energetic bass lines and memorable soothing vocals. The whole structure flows effortlessly and purposefully, ending on a well balanced note, combining all their best elements!

Red Martian are masters of atmosphere and creating different vibes, and they manage to produce an interesting unique style with a mix of dim broody moments, in contrast with upbeat dynamic ones. They also manage to convey the concept of their EP wonderfully, actually sounding like they are playing amongst heavy 'fog' to aid the atmosphere and strange hazed sounds. If you are looking for something a bit different, then look no further! They give new life to neue-shoegazer using original influences and modern ones combined, to show that this genre is still alive and kicking; and if done right it can have captivating results!

Hollow Water - Review/Feature - Up & Coming Instrumental UK Act!

Hollow Water are a instrumental two-piece outfit, consisting of Huw Roberts on guitar, and Alan Cookson on keyboards/drum programming. Based in Aberystwyth, Wales, UK they have created a strange and wonderful sound, so why not take some time to listen and appreciate their previously released material, in time for their interesting upcoming sci-fi album, "Rainbow's End", featuring a diverse range of musicians from all over the world, in what is to be a concept album inspired by an original photo taken by member, Alan Cookson..

"A New Idea That Won't Get Finished" has a mellow majestic feel, created through the synth sounds from Alan, and pleasant harmonious guitar work from Huw. It has a great overall ambient presence and progresses well throughout, making it an enjoyable track to help wash away your troubles..and although the title suggests an idea won't get finished..rest assured their upcoming concept album will be finished by the turn of the year!

The oddly titled, "Watermelon Man" is an interesting and diverse instrumental number, that is assertive, yet chilled and features some superb guitar licks, and kooky wonderful sounds, that are a bit out of this world!

"Guanaco" has a very cool vibe, with a strong melody and far reaching sounds that create a massive crazy fun atmosphere, for this animal inspired tribute to the elegant native 'guanaco' from South America! Bit random, but it works! Towards the end especially, we are treated to some super groovy guitar work and fitting bizarre synths to accompany!

"Witch's Broom Remix" showcases a different sound for them, with a more urgent serious and chaotic sound, and yet again contains some slick guitars and bad-ass beats and rhythms that create suspense. This is extremely catchy, and it sounds like they are in their element with this darker rock instrumental piece! This would be the perfect track to draw you in if you haven't come across Hollow Water yet! I hope to hear more like this on their upcoming sci-fi inspired album, "Rainbow's End"!

Marc Vanderberg - "The Four Elements" EP Review/Feature

Marc Vanderberg is a talented guitarist and songwriter from Germany, who is influenced by well known guitarists, Kee Marcello, John Norum and Yngwie Malmsteen. His influences certainly shine through in his new collection of songs in EP, "The Four Elements", especially with some impressive surprise guest vocalists!!..

Opening song, "Storm, Thunder and Lightning" is a slow power metal ballad, with soft vocals, from Paulo Cuevas, that still hit hard, as we see brilliant vocal abilities and range from him, which is mighty and impressive! That along with superb harmonies and melodies, makes this a dangerously beautiful concoction, like that of a 'storm'!

"Devil May Care" sees a change in pace, and gets things off to a soaring start, with dark old school vocals from the mighty Swedish vocalist, Goran Edman (Ex Malmsteen/Norum), and Marc showing off his killer guitar work, in this all out heavy metal anthem!

"Corrosion Of Society" is fast paced, with brilliant sinister rhythms and riffs, layered with demanding vicious vocals, from Paulo Cuevas yet again, and we are treated to some slick shredding!

So we reach the end with, the debut single, "Key To Your Heart" which immediately embraces 80s metal in big style, with Paulo showcasing more massive piercing vocal harmonies, and of course bad-ass riffs, what more could you want?! This is a huge memorable stadium sounding anthem!

This is a robust collection of songs, with Marc's impressive song-writing and guitar-work, along with his brilliant guests, anyone can appreciate the talent featured throughout! He certainly has all the 'elements' working in his favour, and the end result is a well crafted musical masterpiece, which is a must hear EP!

If you want to hear more of Marc's wonderful song writing, then be sure to look out for his new song,"Smoking Kills - But Only Love Can Break Your Heart", which is sung by Chris Divine (Luna Rise) & Tave Wanning (Adrenaline Rush) which is released November 1st 2015 and is a mix between 'Sisters Of Mercy' & Finnish Rock band, HIM!

Threatpoint - Interview - "Be ready to move... move or be moved, as we say!"

Threatpoint is a groove metal band based out of Scranton, Pennsylvania pulling influences from all of the rock and metal spectrum. I caught up with them and asked them about their sound, influences and the future, including their third album which they are currently working on, so be sure to read all about it and check out their technical groove metal!..

For those that aren't familiar, how would you describe your music?

Groove metal, simply put. We don't focus on technique or ability... just what we think is good song writing and what would move a live crowd.

What would you say are your biggest influences, creatively and musically?

We all grew up with a passion for music and playing music. Between all of us, bands like The Doors, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, Sepultura, Pantera and Devildriver to name a few... you can't help but be influenced by what you listen to

So you recently parted ways with your bassist, Eric Ross and welcomed Matt Van Fleet (formerly of Cause Of Affliction) as the new bass player, how are things going so far with Matt? How did you cross paths with him?

Things are great with him... he actually had a hand in the formation of this band as he is the one who hooked up Chris with Alex and myself. We've played several shows together when he was in COA and we always kept in touch. It always felt like he should be a part of this.

Following on from that, how would you say the new line-up change has affected the band and it's dynamics, if any?

Matt is an absolute bass player to the fullest extent. We've had some guys who would play along wit the guitarists and just be content with being in the background but Matt will add something or take away if he feels it... he serves the song no matter what. He always makes it a point to lock in with the drums too, which obviously helps as bass and drums are the foundation for a song.

Have you begun work on your follow up to 2014's "Careful What You Wish For" album yet?

We have and we are! We're currently scheduled to go back to the studio within a month... just honing some things in and fine tuning them.

How happy were you with how "Careful What You Wish For" turned out, and how it was received?

It was a pain to make for sure but when it's all said and done, it was totally worth it... we still get great feedback on it nearly a year later and the songs from it are still fun to play live.

How do you think your new material will compare to your previous releases? If it's not too early to say!

A bit different for sure... while Dead to Rise was our first album and basically was just us throwing something at the wall and seeing what sticks (being it was our first time writing together) and Careful was definitley more amped up as far as direction, style and skill go, this third album will focus on some more dual guitar player type playing as we've never properly wrote with two guitars playing together and feeding off each other before... and of course, we've still got plenty of bone crushing type riffs and grooves.

You are currently touring and will be right through to early 2016, how are you enjoying it so far?

I'm answering this now as we are headed to our last date in St. Louis on our tour headed west. We love it, man... the travel can be absolutely brutal and exhausting but to meet new people and turn them on to your product is priceless.

What can attending fans expect from your live shows?

Be ready to move... move or be moved, as we say! We are a live band and pride ourselves on that, so we always love and appreciate some crowd interaction and participation. We love a good mosh pit!

If you could tour anywhere in the world, where would it be?

We are currently in talks to go to the UK next year... that is all a huge dream for all of us.

What else is in store for Threatpoint for 2015?

Recording our third album first and foremost, along with a few live shows here and there. For the latest, always check out threatpointofficial.com

Josh Buche - "Retroflux" Album Review

Retroflux cover art

Singer and songwriter, Josh Buche from Illinois, Chicago, has a very eclectic taste in music, which helps him to create his own signature sound, and in his first full length album, "Retroflux" he takes us on a weirdly wonderful musical journey...

First song, "Ballad Of Juan Guerrero" is a lively ambient acoustic number, which has a dream like vibe to it, whilst having a raw organic feel, which is all helped by the delightful guitars and atmospheric chilled out vocals. This acts a good introduction and first impression, where Josh represents his creative flair admirably..

"Hold My Breath" is very smooth and soothing, where he gets to show of his brilliant guitar skills, and varied soulful emotive vocals further, with precision and fluidity. As we near the end, it takes on a different mood with a crescendo, which makes for a highly memorable number!

To keep things fresh and dynamic, "I've Been Waiting" shows his diversity yet again, in this country rock 'n' roll short venture, with well thought out backing noises to create the desired atmosphere and depth.."On My Way" yet again highlights his mix of influences big time, with a massive change in sound, jumping into a pop party inspired number, with ultra positive upbeat beats, melodies and sounds, all helping it on it's 'way' to a feel good hit!

"I Wish I Were Mute" slows things down a bit in this thought provoking and rather sombre sounding track, which stills hits hard.."Sliding" is a strange yet intriguing instrumental, heavily aided by the use of effects and far out sounds to escape in..

"Monster Steps" is a definite highlight, and makes a strong impact! This is a brilliantly constructed catchy fun, electronic driven instrumental, which sounds like a malfunctioning game tune or alternative dance track, in the greatest way!

"Note To Self" highlights mundane reality well, as well as being rather pessimistic, especially in the chorus, yet in contrast is motivational at times. This is all delivered in a very effective way, like an actual recording to yourself as a reminder not to waste your life and have regrets..it takes a dark turn towards the end, in a spiralling manic progression, to play up how harsh life can be at times..but eventually ends of a positive inspirational 'note'! This is a powerful eye-opening and stand out song!

Final song, "This Illusion" has a lot going on, giving it lots of depth and also a surreal sense with beautiful ambient vocals, and outbursts of loud instruments, giving it an harder edge, which although seems misplaced, it actually works well in a bizarre way!

Josh is an extremely talented individual, who has a lot to offer, and manages to fit a hell of a lot in this album, and every song adds an extra layer to his ever expanding musical exploration! He delivers an exciting, and innovative creation, which he should be very proud of! As it is so diverse it should appeal to a wide audience and get him the exposure he deserves..just imagine what he can go on to achieve following this inspiring release!

SmartBlackKid - "The Best Of SmartBlackKid Vol. 1" Album Review

SmartBlackKid is a multi-talented one man band, all performed by Hakhi Alakhun. He has impressively produced and released ten albums spanning many genres, and with his eleventh release, he has complied the ultimate collection of his songs over his career, in this 'Best Of' album, making for a great opportunity for existing fans to catch up on, and of course for new fans to discover...

To get things started we have, "Stand Up" which is ultra smooth with it's beats and rhythms, along with melodic memorable guitar work, with refreshing and charming vocals, all delivered with style!

Single "Free Thought" has great catchy hooks and an classic rock vibe, but with a upbeat modern twist, making it a perfect choice for a single and his creative sound offers something a bit different, which is always nice to see..

"Powerful" immediately highlights Hakhi's guitar skills yet again, with ambient and bouncy riffs throughout, with equally powerful compelling vocals to accompany..

"Labyrinths Within" helps to show off the sheer diversity offered further..with this being a more pop funk inspired number, that is very soulful and strong, again exhibiting some brilliant ambient solo guitar with bluesy rhythms..like a 'maze' this is complex, and one where you could easily lose yourself in the music..

Following on finely, to strip things back a bit and offer a slower pace, "Shadow's Way" uses softer guitars and sweltering vocals, with have hints of blues, and soulful rock. This is a stand out track, which is one to let wash over you and get engulfed in! Everything is effectively placed, in terms of structure and the use of backing vocals for more emphasis and depth.

"Are You Alive" is highly resonant, with the use of effects on the vocals and guitars, and again demonstrates his exceptional guitar skills, along with brilliant harmonies, as well as his remarkable musicianship and ability to deliver sublime lyrics, that are executed with such passionate and heart; something there is no shortage of on the entirety of the album!

"Live Again" is well positioned following the previous song. This is one of my favourites, having a high energy rock alternative sound, which grabs you instantly! Hakhi explores more-so with his varied flawless vocals to match the mood and vibe of the track - which he does in an optimistic fast fun manner!

"Sell, Sell, Sell" opens on a somewhat sinister guitar hook, and in the chorus we see Hakhi use lower vocal pitches for impact, in what is a very repetitive chorus, which is perhaps a nod to punk, in terms of musical structure and delivery, that along with the killer sombre guitars, makes this the most dark song featured.

"Gimme Love" again is in keeping with the previous tone, this has a almost gloomy rock 'n' roll vibe which hits hard in a short amount of time!

Final song, "Persevere" sets the scene with an informative intro that tells us about the human mind, making it thought provoking...with more talking featured, over beautiful soft vocals and quiet guitars, which is all very stripped down, before the instruments start to pick up in this real, and motivational number! It progresses well instrumentally and helps with the context of the song, and to end things in style, we are treated to the best solo guitar work yet, where Hakhi let's loose with insane results, ending things on a hard hitting and powerful note!

SmarkBlackKid is an truly innovative and skilled musician who puts his heart and soul into all of his songs, and explores numerous genres in a slick and almost effortless way! There is something for everyone on this album, and there is no doubt that SmartBlackKid can conquer all genres! The whole collection of songs is vibrant, refreshing, creative and overall enjoyable! What a musical gem to discover, that genuinely shines through with passion, craftsmanship and professionalism, and explores a plethora of genres, all the while maintaining his own signature sound!

OTEP Signs To Napalm Records!‏

Los Angeles California’s OTEP has announced that she has signed with Austrian based Napalm Records.  Famed producer Howard Benson will be handling the productions duties on the band’s new album that is due out in 2016.

OTEP commented on joining the Napalm Records Roster:
“Signing with Napalm Records is one of the most exciting alliances I’ve ever made. I haven’t felt this excited to write a new album since SEVAS TRA. There’s a lot of work to do, a lot of music to write, a lot of things to say, a lot of injustices to confront and a lot of madness to summon and capture.  To be able to forge this sacred alchemy with the dark brilliance of producer Howard Benson is a dream come true.”

Napalm Records A&R Demetri Benoist said about the signing of OTEP:
"Beyond excited to be working with such a polarizing artist who stands for something and is not afraid to speak their mind.  This is a new beginning in OTEP’s history and Napalm Records is committed to making it the most successful!  Let the OTEP Revolution begin.”

Bag Of Nickels - "Amen" Album Review

Bag Of Nickels from Wilmington, Delaware have been through some hard times, and have just come back after a hiatus with their third independent release, "Amen" which impressively was produced by Dennis Prado and co-produced/mixed with Philadelphia-based, grammy-award winning engineer, Mike Tarsia.

To open the album, "Hold Your Form" has smooth, groovy and slick rock 'n' roll tones, with resonant effective vocals, all delivered in style, and takes us back to more old school sounds with notable guitar work..it sounds like they are back and on top 'form'!

Next with have, "Impurities" which has some brilliant rhythms and melodies..it's really quite hard to find any faults here! "Trapper Keeper" has a guest appearance from, Danny Carmona, which gives it a different feel and dynamic, whilst in-keeping with the rest of the songs so far..

Again we see Danny Carmona appear in, "The Set Up", which has a great lively, yet chilled out vibe, created through the well placed, fluent and free spirited instruments, evoking tonnes of class which work wonderfully with the vocal pitches.

The greatly titled, "Liquidation Sale" adds some more diversity and has some positive sounding instruments, with a bizarre yet brilliant sound aided by far out vocals and effects.."Speedball" shows interesting and effective vocals, which helps it stand out, along with a odd  ambience, and to round it all off, we are treated to some skilled instrumentation and guitar-work, as seen throughout the album..

Title track, "Amen" opens on a soft note and highlights some smooth bass. It possesses an interesting atmosphere, and sees the use of other instruments, which also make it one of the most varied and therefore must hear tracks, as it embodies the core of their sound!

You can't have rock 'n' roll without "Sex", which closes the album! It sounds pleasant, optimistic and somewhat spaced-out, even though lyrically it contrasts this at times, in what is the longest, most divergent song, with its almost grunge feel and changeable structure and transitions, whilst remaining coherent! A brilliantly odd one to end on, which highlights all their best characteristics!

As they take influence from old style rock 'n' roll which is quite evident in their sound, they have also managed to add in their own stamp to create a solid, refreshing and highly enjoyable album! It has a good mix of songs, ranging from soulful and smooth to tough and unusual, and all delivered in well crafted musicianship and flair! I'm sure others would say 'Amen' to that!

Luna Rise - Dark Days & Bright Nights Album Review!

Austrian Band, Luna Rise return following their successful and thrilling signature EP, "Smoking Kills, But Love Can Break A Heart" with new album, "Dark Days & Bright Nights", where they get to show off their unique melodic rock more-so plus with some extra surprises thrown in the mix..

Open song, "Demons Inside" is highly melodic, aided especially by the electronic sounds..it is fuzzy and delightfully dark all at once, helped by the fierce screams at the end! This is also one of the most diverse offerings, and for those not familiar with the bands sound, this will lure you in wonderfully!..

"Valentine" which has a great accompanying fiery emotive video too, has hard hitting memorable riffs and characteristic charming emotive vocals. This is a beautiful rock offering with a glorious layered sound, this is a must hear, which you are bound to 'adore'!

"Dancing With Tears In My Eyes" immediately grabs your attention with a very dramatic and gloomy intro, however it goes on to have a quite positive sound, which is delivered in style, through bouncy fun melodies, rhythms and effects!

"The Secret In You" changes the tone, sounding more sombre, in this powerful ballad that hones in on Chris's luscious flawless vocals, who uses largely low pitches here, which match the mood perfectly. Half way through we are graced with strong impressive instrumentation to add more impact and depth, which it achieves!

"Until The Stars Have Come" opens on a very atmospheric and 'spacey' vibe which is rather appropriate! It also adds a new dynamic, by featuring beautiful and strong female guest vocals, which compliment Chris brilliantly!

Closing song, the greatly titled, "The Anthem Of The Night" is slower paced and alluring, especially with subtle glimpses of a dark presence. There is a lot of depth and richness engulfed in this soothing final contribution, which embodies all the 'dark' and 'bright' elements featured throughout the album, tying it all together in a nice grand luxurious package!

The album title fits perfectly with their sound and context..bursting with texture, finesse, and exceptional rhythms that will get you moving, and lift your spirits, even amongst the darkness, with their gothic gloom seeping marvellously into their sweetened infectiously melodic 'heart rock'! This album captures their distinctive style, but also shows of their more diverse evolved sound following their previous releases..they never disappoint, so let's wait in anticipation for the next release!

Diary Of My Misanthropy - Threatre Of The Absurd

This music project from the multi-talented, Vladyslav Tsarenko from Prague shows instrumental music at it's pinnacle and truly embraces the elements needed to inject emotions and portray his inspiration, solely through his use and interpretation of the music. The main inspirations being events taking place in the world during our time, and the classic novel by George Orwell, '1984'..

The first song to grace our ears is, "War Is Peace", which opens on a very ambient melancholic note, before really coming to life with far reaching guitar work, and leads us wonderfully on to the intense new single for, "Freedom Is Slavery", which also has a very powerful video to accompany it. It manages to encompass the context superbly through the emotive use of the instruments and effects; especially the way it progresses throughout..this is a mighty track which needs to be heard!

"Ignorance Is Strength" has a sombre yet hopeful vibe to it, which is elegantly captured. Towards the end it gets darker and more complex, making for a very thought provoking number.."Kindness Is Weakness", appropriately perhaps has an intricate and fragile air to it, showing a 'softer' side to the largely serious broody music  - it still possesses a tragic feel to it,which the instrumental bit towards the end emphasises.

The deep and meaningful, "Naked Body, Hidden Soul", keeps things on a par with the current standard, being very intelligible and evoking emotion, something which should be commended, without the need or use of lyrics - yet it sounds so fluent and effortless!

So we reach the end of this enlightening musical journey with the fitting, "The Curtain Is Closing", (Prologue) which is somewhat light hearted, and offers the listener time to reflect and admire this show or 'Threatre' we have been invited to enjoy!..

From the start I was intrigued and from thereon out, listened intently to every note! It is quite something when you can find instrumental music that moves you so much, and gets it's desired effect through so prominently, which is what
Vladyslav has done wonderfully! The end result is an intense intelligible and far reaching meaningful must hear EP!

Check out the said 'powerful' new video for, "Freedom Is Slavery":

Abhorrent Decimation Release 'Miasmic Mutation' Full Album Teaser‏!

Abhorrent Decimation Release 'Miasmic Mutation' Full Album Teaser

One of the UK's most promising death metal bands Abhorrent Decimation recently revealed release details for their hugely anticipated debut album, Miasmic Mutation. Out September 25th, and with just over four weeks to D-Day, today marks the unveiling of a full album teaser; a video featuring a short clip from each song.

Watch The Miasmic Mutation Full Album Teaser Here!
https://youtu.be/ZAcGQZejC5Y

Recorded and engineered by David Archer in the UK before making its way to Sweden to be mixed & mastered by sound wizard Ronnie Björnström (Aeon, Apostasy, Bodyfarm, Krow), the result is a death metal masterpiece.

In a sub-genre filled with mediocrity and where only those pushing boundaries are rising, Abhorrent Decimation are a breath of fetid air. The band harness a sound that is both brutal and catchy and that appeals to both the old school and the modern death metal fan. With Metal Hammer stating that, "The Londoners' full-length debut will be one of 2015's must-have death metal records," this quintet have hit the nail on the head and are bang on the money.

The band enlisted renowned Swedish artist Pär Olofsson to complete the Miasmic Mutation artwork (as seen above), famed for his work with bands such as Bloodshot Dawn, Exodus, Hour Of Penance and Revocation to name a few.

Abhorrent Decimation will tour throughout the UK in October in support of Miasmic Mutation, dates to follow.

ExoWaves - Side Effects (Double A-Side Single Review)

ExoWaves from Stoke-On-Trent are set to release their Double A-Side single on 6th October 2015, they will unveil their futuristic rock 'n' roll sounds in these two distinct and contrasting tracks...

To kick things off we have, 'Closest Romantic', which showcases their softer fuzzy side, which the masses can enjoy! Zak's vocals are soft yet strong, with a hard edge and compliment the ambient accompanying instruments.

'Side Effects' has a darker gritty vibe, truly embracing the dazed rock 'n' roll sounds, especially with lines such as, “watching my demons come and go from my soul"! That along with snarly shouts, slick riffs and overdrived instrument outbursts as backup, end things on a high impact memorable note!

This is my opinion is the stand out song of the two, but that being said both offer something completely different and are constructed and delivered wonderfully, helping to convey their take and style on the rock 'n' roll genre with a modern revamp! This single release is definitely worth a listen and hopefully will result in a 'wave' of new fans!

Global release date 25 September 2015!

Rammstein made a triumphant return to the U.S. stage for the first time in 10 years, to headline one sold-out concert at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. The venue’s more than 18,000 seats were snatched up for the special appearance within less than 30 minutes of going on sale, heralding Rammstein’s return with a frenzied fanfare on par with the German band’s elaborate stage presentation. On September 25, Island/UMe will release RAMMSTEIN I

N AMERIKA in 2DVD and 2Blu-ray packages, pairing the incendiary Madison Square Garden concert, expertly filmed and recorded in 5.1 surround, with a feature-length documentary film directed by Hannes Rossacher. A 20-minute film about the making of Rammstein’s sixth album, Liebe ist für alle da, is also included.

The two-hour RAMMSTEIN IN AMERIKA documentary throws open the band’s private archives spanning more than 20 years, including a trove of never-before-seen footage. Originated and personally overseen by Rammstein, the film is a fascinating chronological exploration of the band’s history, from the members’ shared experience of limited touring and other creative business opportunities behind the Iron Curtain in their native East Germany to bursting onto the world’s stage as metal/rock heroes after Germany’s reunification. The film follows Rammstein’s first forays into U.S. touring and American music business dealings in the 1990s, their work with David Lynch for the Lost Highway soundtrack, global radio and music television success, and international touring, which included the 1999 arrest of two of the band’s members in Massachusetts for elements of their stage presentation deemed by local police to be “lewd and lascivious behavior.”

The film also goes behind the scenes with Rammstein’s retreat from America in the wake of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, before concluding with the band’s eventual return to perform in America on November 12, 2010 at Madison Square Garden. In addition to Rammstein’s Till Lindemann (vocals), Richard Z. Kruspe (guitar), Paul Landers (guitar), Oliver Riedel (bass), Flake Lorenz (keyboard), and Christoph Schneider (drums, percussion), several well-known American artists, including Iggy Pop, Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Moby, Melissa Auf der Maur, Marilyn Manson, Kiefer Sutherland, Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), Jonathan Davis (Korn), CJ Ramone, Scott Ian (Anthrax), Slipknot, System of a Down, KISS, and Taylor Momsen, are among the documentary’s diverse and insightful participants.

Shot in high definition with 14 cameras and 5.1 surround audio, Rammstein’s LIVE FROM MADISON SQUARE GARDEN concert film shows the band in full creative stride as they command the stage for their roof-raising return to New York. Rammstein’s complete performance of 18 songs is captured in the film, clocking in for one hour and 41 minutes of visual and sonic annihilation.

Also included is Paul Landers’ 20-minute Making Of Liebe ist für alle da documentary, which takes viewers into the studio during Rammstein’s November/December 2008 sessions for the band’s sixth album in Sonoma, California.
