Spanish Pop Punkers UPSIDE DOWN To Release Debut Album

Upside Down is a Spanish Pop-Punk band which consists of Quique Martinez (vocals - guitar), David Sanz (drums), Alex Castellano (bass) and Angel Fernandez (guitar).

The band plans on releasing its debut album named 'Scars Are Forever' in December 2017 through KROD RECORDS. To do so, they have just launched a crowdfunding campaign to finance the recording, mixing and mastering costs for the production of the album, as well as its artwork, the upcoming music videos and the merch that the bands currently offers.

“We've decided to start this campaign to present our album with the highest possible quality. It is our cover letter and therefore we are looking for a certain level in every aspect. For this, we have worked with great professionals such as Txosse Ruiz at Wheel Sound Studios (Barcelona, Spain) and Jim DeMaine at Yes Master Studios (Nashville, USA). We have also worked with Jake Carruthers (Real Friends, Neck Deep, Knuckle Puck...) for the artwork of the album. Apart from all these people, we are still working with many more to get merch, videos and designs.

Apart from getting the funding, we want people to feel they are an essential part of this project and also part of the creation process of Scars Are Forever.”

JIBE Unleash New Video And Single 'Release'

Jibe, the Dallas TX alt-rock juggernaut is back with Epic Tales of Human Nature. The long-awaited full-length concept album was recorded at Orb Recording studios in Austin, TX, produced by JIBE and Matt Noveskey (Blue October), and mixed by Grammy award-winning producer/engineer, Toby Wright (Metallica, Alice In Chains, Korn). Epic Tales of Human Nature reflects a fire and intensity lacking in today’s world. From beginning to the very end, this 13 song masterpiece takes the listener on a journey of uncontainable highs and devastatingly toxic lows, a story all too familiar with the boys in JIBE. With lead singles The Human Condition & We’ve Only Just Begun already unwrapped, the album bleeds endless jewels just waiting to be discovered.

The band have just recently unveiled their new single and video for 'Release', taken from the new album Epic Tales Of Human Nature, check it out!

Video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXhDRbODg34&feature=youtu.be

Arriving from Dallas with a resident quartet composed of vocalist Joe Grah, Toby Bittenbender (guitar), Corey Tatro (bass), and Todd Harwell (drums), JIBE consistently built a solid touring career since they assembled in 1994. Disposing stalwart tunes of alternative rock magnified by Grah's vigorously melodic vocals, JIBE display their better commands on extreme and alternate effect settings. Only one year after forming, the Texan crew released their first record, Live at Trees.

The album marked their impressive ability and offered them a growing popularity at the local music scene, solidified by 1996's JIBE, their self- titled second album. The band's considerable following was then consolidated by their consecutive performances as the opening band for groups such as Toadies, Fastball, & Creed. In 2000, and after yet another intense touring season, the Dallas team released their third record, In My Head, achieving regular airplay at various alternative & college radio stations. Underlining their increasing prevalence, the song "I'll Meet You Half Way" landed at the No.1 position on KXUL in Monroe, LA, where it would stay for several weeks.

In 2002, the band entered Reeltime Studios in Denton, TX with producer Eric Delegard to record their eponymous fourth release, Uprising. Uprising captures twelve dynamic rock tracks exploring JIBE’s reckless, melodic artistry.

After 11 years a part, The band is back stronger than ever and ready to engage as the boys find their center in an uncertain universe.

Snowballing into the public psyche with the release of their acclaimed debut 'Everything Popular Is Wrong', the band have paid their dues with numerous festival appearances and UK tours alike. POLARIS Release New Single 'Consume' & Guitar Playthrough

Australian powerhouse POLARIS have released their new single 'Consume'. Check out the track here: https://youtu.be/Njk_OO7TCtA

The official guitar playthrough for the song can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/HR7NNe_kifw
Also watch the music video for the first single, 'The Remedy' here: https://youtu.be/WWurkdQBlAE

POLARIS' highly anticipated debut album, The Mortal Coil, will be out November 3 via SharpTone &Resist Records.

Pre-Order The Mortal Coil now: http://geni.us/PolarisTheMortalCoil

The Mortal Coil was recorded in POLARIS' self-made studio in Mollymook, NSW, where they shipped American tandem, Carson Slovak and Grant MacFarland of Atrium Audio to oversee the recording. No strangers to success themselves, the hotly-tipped duo most recently produced, engineered and mixed AUGUST BURNS RED’s Grammy-nominated album, Found In Far Away Places.

Guitarist Rick Schneider talks about the recording of The Mortal Coil:
"Recording 'The Mortal Coil' was unlike any studio experience we'd had before, both in location and environment. A few hours south of Sydney we rented a holiday house, not knowing how well it would suit our needs. We managed to set up two work stations and quickly found ourselves in a focused, yet highly relaxed work environment. While stress would inevitably makes its way into the process, the end result is something we are all very proud of, and I'll personally always look back on that month fondly."
Those eager to see POLARIS shred live won’t have to wait long, as the quintet will embark on the renowned Never Say Die! tour with label mates EMMURE, DEEZ NUTS, CHELSEA GRIN, KUBLAI KHAN, SWORN IN and LORNA SHORE.

They have shared the stage with fellow prog-metal enthusiasts PERIPHERY and NORTHLANE, HELLIONS, PARKWAY DRIVE and recently joined British powerhouse WHILE SHE SLEEPS, Japanese favourites CROSSFAITH and Byron Bay eco-warriors IN HEARTS WAKE on their massive Ark tour around the country.

ELUVEITIE Announce New Single 'Rebirth'!

Two months ago, Swiss folk metallers ELUVEITIE released their new album, Evocation II - Pantheon via Nuclear Blast. This acoustic album continued the path of its precursor Evocation I (2009) and entered the charts worldwide.

Mastermind Chrigel and his band fellows proudly announce that they will soon release a brand-new single! The song which is entitled 'Rebirth' will be available worldwide on October 27th, 2017 and will deliver some first impressions for their new upcoming album!

Chrigel comments:
"After a longer period of playing many acoustic sessions, peaking in creating our much-anticipated second acoustic album 'Evocation II - Pantheon', we're of course more than excited to finally go about our next metal juggernaut! We've been gathering ideas since quite a while and yes, we started working on our next metal album!"

It will still take a while until we'll enter the studios again, since we first want to and will accomplish an amazing 'EVOCATION II' touring cycle.

But to soothe your [and our ;-)] waiting time, we recently gathered again in the legendary Newsound studios to produce a first single off our upcoming metal album already – so welcome our youngest baby: 'Rebirth'!

We believe, it turned out a real monster of in-your-face folk metal and we're super proud of it. And we hope you'll enjoy it as much as we do! As always it is full of pristine celtic folk music and contains treasures such as the old Irish traditional 'Lads of Laois'. But at the same time, 'Rebirth' comes with a steamrolling truckload of pure fucking metal!

Conceptually the song takes a rather philosophical approach on ancient Celtic spirituality and mythology (and so will our upcoming album)! We take ancient mythological images to contemplate them from the view point of our every-day life (no matter if we lived 2000 years ago or today! Because we believe that the deep meaning and significance of these images didn't change ever since)! 'Rebirth' deals with the ancient Celtic image of the 'cauldron of rebirth', with it's meaning and with the darkest passages of our lives, through which we all have to go to arise reborn.“

HELLOWEEN Reveal 'Pumpkins United' Single & Lyric Video; 10" Pre-order Live!

Earlier this year German Power Metal legends HELLOWEEN announced that they would be reuniting with former members Kai Hansen (guitar) and Michael Kiske (vocals) for a World Tour under the banner of “Pumpkins United”. It would mean bringing together the classic line-up of the band that recorded the seminal ‘Keeper Of The Seven Keys Parts 1 & 2’ albums (1987/88).

HELLOWEEN’s upcoming Pumpkins United World Tour will be nothing short of incredible. The super-tour, with plenty of dates being sold out for a while now, will be witnessed by more than 10,000 fans in Mexico City, 16,000 Brazilians rocking out in São Paulo, 9,000 fans in Santiago de Chile while in Stuttgart there'll be 6,000. In Milan, 8,000 Pumpkinheads eagerly await the arrival of the tour and finally – the ultimate mayhem in Prague with 12,000 tickets sold as well as in Madrid where, believe it or not, 14,000 Spanish Pumpkinheads will gather for this special show.

The news doesn’t stop there. The band, whilst busy in their rehearsal room have also written and recorded an exclusive song together. The aptly titled track 'Pumpkins United' blends everything that has made this band world-famous and a true trailblazer of an own sub genre: power guitar riffs, three-part guitar solos, double bass thunderstorms, and melodic choruses soaring above all else. The track is also performed by all three singers of the band's history - a dream hardly anyone thought would come true and as a thank you to all fans for a quarter of a century of HELLOWEEN mania and decades of loyalty, 'Pumpkins United' will be available via helloween.org from October 13 as a FREE DOWNLOAD!

WE CAME AS ROMANS - Joshua & Kyle Discuss Making 'Cold Like War'

Michigan Post-hardcore outfit WE CAME AS ROMANS have just released another look into their heavily anticipated fifth album, Cold Like War. Watch as the band discuss the album's artwork here: https://youtu.be/xBOmQyCCkCE

Trailer #2: https://youtu.be/kWfRBsGLZ3k

Cold Like War will be available on October 20th via SharpTone Records and you can pre-order the album here:http://geni.us/WCARColdLikeWar

In their expansive tenure as a band, they've released four full-length releases, charted #8, #11 and #21 respectively on the Billboard Top 200, performed in five continents and 40 different countries and that doesn't even begin to touch on what they have in the works for 2017.

2017 is the start of a new era for We Came as Romans.

In a word, the album represents adversity—in all of its various forms. It's a thrilling, energetic and immensely catchy compendium of songs that run the full gambit of emotion—aggression to sorrow, love to hate—to capture the fullest extent of the conflict and turmoil We Came as Romans endured to make it to this point in their careers and their lives.

"Cold Like War is about struggle, those trials," says guitarist and songwriter Joshua Moore. "They can turn us towards each other, towards those we love, towards those who have supported us. Because the last two years to us have felt like this giant war—an internal war—to figure out the right path for our band… to figure out how to stay together and be happy again."

2. Cold Like War
3. Two Hands

5. Foreign Fire
6. Wasted Age
7. Encoder
8. If There's Something To See (Feat. Eric Vanlerberghe from I Prevail)

INTERVIEW: Tarah Who?

If you are looking for some new music or something different, how about a bit of cow-punk mixed with grunge?!...Well, rock trio Tarah Who? are a band you need to check out. The trio consists of Tarah G. Carpenter (TGC) on vocals/guitar, Matthew Peltcher (MP) on bass/backing vocals and
Coralie Hervé (CH) on Drums. I caught up with them to discuss their sound, relocating from Paris to America, their current tour along with their plans for the future amongst other things...

How would you describe your sound?

MP: We are a cow-punk, grunge, rock power trio. Tarah Who’s sound is loud, heavy and angry. Tarah belts out lyrics against thrashing guitars, beefy bass lines and wild drums.

TGC: Huummm... Hard to beat that description! Let's see. I can add Raw, energetic, Rock influenced punk. Loud, fast-paced heavy guitars and driving drums.

Can you tell us about how you got into music and how you learnt to play so many instruments?

TGC: I only remember being drawn to music, first by listening to rock music constantly, with my mom (listening to Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Bruce Spingsteen while cleaning the house!) Then I started listening to artists I discovered and my mom and I would meet in my bedroom at night and listen to songs I had discovered really loud. I grew up in a house, we didn't have any neighbors.

I think listening to music unconsciously inspired me to play. I watched a lot of shows, concerts and I loved the atmosphere. The crowd, the entertainment, etc.. I don't remember thinking " I want to be a musician". I remember being attracted to drums. I started playing drums in a rock band at the age of 14, and at the same I picked up the bass. a couple years later, I was a student in Murray, KY, I couldn't play the drums so I bought myself an electric guitar and I started writing songs and playing the guitar.

I taught myself the drums, bass and guitar by playing with other people in different rock bands.

Tarah you were born in Paris but are now are based in LA, what made you decide to move to the states?

TGC: I must have been American in a past life because I have always felt more home in the US than in France. Nothing against France, but I have felt more comfortable here than in Paris. I do love Paris, I miss my friends and family everyday, we keep in touch and talk to each other every single day, we make it a point to see each other every year. For what I play in music, America has just more opportunities. I could have chosen New York, but it seemed like a too similar lifestyle as Paris. I wanted to be somewhere warm:) I chose to move to LA, I have loved being in Los Angeles since the first days I moved here in 2006. It's a tough city but it makes you get up and chase your dreams. So many things have and happen in LA within a few months, I have gone back to France to check out the music scene now that we were more established, and it appears that the music scene is still very limited. Once again, for the kind of music that we play, we want to be able to play big, loud. In Paris, there are so many limitations, you can't play too loud or the sound will shut down because of decibel meters. COME ON! Where is the ROCK'N ROLL in that? The best shows in France, in my opinion, are the ones outside of Paris. You meet great bands, great music lovers. Those shows are really fun:) Paris is my home. I love Paris, I love the Eiffel Tower;) and I am a true proud Parisian who likes her cheese and wine:) No denials here;) for music, I prefer the be here in Los Angeles, where you can make things happen.

There must be quite a difference in the music scene between the two places?

CH: In my opinion, there are more opportunities in LA than in Paris.

TGC: haha:) Coralie you crack me up with your short answers:) Yes, I agree, but again we are a loud cow punk Rock band. I think that if you are a singer-songwriter, or French pop/ Rock artist you can have a lot of opportunities in France. Or I would hope so... I have noticed that there was a very very closed circle of musicians and artists, it's really hard to get into that circle.. I just personally don't like that mentality. It works great for some of my friends, it's just not what I believe in. Now Los Angeles,... LA is great, you can play a lot of shows, but you have to find those cool shows. I don't believe nor support in pay to play gigs and unfortunately, LA is FULL of pay to play gigs. PLEASE ARTISTS: STOP AGREEING TO PAY TO PLAY! YOUR SHOW is what makes history, not other people's shows. A lot of bands agree to pay to play just because some band from the 80s played there or it is somewhat famous. The reality of this is that, you are going to lose a lot of time, energy and MONEY, for a 30 minutes gig at a venue that, okay.. is well-known, BUT it won't make YOU a big rockstar. If you care about your career, you are going to save that cash and your audience, for gigs that matter and that will boost your career a little. Use that cash for equipment or to promote yourself!

What are your main musical influences?

CH: For me, it’s Nightwish, a symphonic metal band.

MP: My main musical influences are The Cure, Depeche Mode and Joy Division. They are the bands that made me want to play music. Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins would later become influences of mine as well.

TGC: I was a big Alanis fan. Then I listened to everything 90s...Garbage, Smashing Pumpkins, Rage Against the Machine, Pantera, Motorhead, Tool, Foo Fighters (early days), Distillers, Hole etc....

So you are currently on a small tour in the US, how is it going so far?

CH: Great, it’s really fun.

MP: So far good! We opened with Tokyo Taboo at the Viper Room and we are headed to Vegas next. So many great venues to play at and some really cool bands to play with. Come check us out if you are in Vegas, Santa Ana, Long Beach, West Hollywood or DTLA: more details at tarahwho.com

TGC: Yes, tiny tour:) It was really unexpected actually it's kind of fun! I was just booking gigs here and there, then we got offered to play for a Halloween show in Santa Ana so that is going to be fun! Then we got this gig in Vegas, and now a friend just added us on her evening on November 13 at the Hotel Cafe! Shows keep adding up to this poster and we are really excited!

We really get along with Matt and Coralie. Coralie has joined us last June 2017 and it already feels like we've been playing altogether for ages. It's exactly the kind of harmony I was looking for in a band. It's very easy going and fun. Going on tour with these guys is like going on a short trip with your friends but you get to play music and meet a bunch of people! it's cool:)

Do you have any other tour plans lined up?

CH: Yeah we gonna go on tour in Europe next summer.

MP: Yea, next year we are planning a West Coast tour in April. Working on more Europe tour dates later in the year. More to come….

TGC: Yes we are going to tour in April 2018 with our good friends from France DRY CAN. ( check them out!! they are a 90s grunge rock alternative band) We have known each other for a while now and we are really excited to go on tour with them. I predict a lot of fun and alcohol! Get ready west coast, stack up in beers and Jameson, these guys can drink!

Right after this tour, We are planning to tour in Europe, we have a few gigs in France, the UK, and some festivals everywhere actually! More to come really soon about those dates! (we are hoping to hit the east coast as well)

I believe you are working on your next EP, how is it coming together so far and what can we expect from it?

TGC: We are working on a new EP, I actually have 10 songs ready, but we are going to pick 5 of them for this next EP. We are going to work with Jason Orme again (Alanis Morissette). We worked so well, for this past EP ( "Half Middle Child Syndrome") that we would like to do it again. What to expect? More or less, the same amount of crazy, loud, fast-paced, weird songs! We will see which ones we end up putting on this next EP, but it will make you bang your head for sure.

How would you compare it to your previous material?

MP: The songs have the angry sound Tarah Who? is known for but they also sound really fun. There will definitely be more songs to mosh to at our live shows.

TGC: We have a song called "Numb Killer". It is pretty angry... I think we will put it on there, but I am still arranging a few things. If not on this next EP, the very next one:)

This next EP, will probably sound more whole. Matt, Coralie and I have been working for a longer period of time now. We have gone shopping for our new sound together, we play together better, we are tighter, and the harmony of the band ( as people) is stronger. I think the EP will sound like Tarah Who? but as a whole, we might sound better. If that makes sense.

What do you have planned for 2018?

CH: Working on the new EP and promote it on tour.

MP: A lot of touring, as I said earlier. New music as well and some Los Angeles show dates throughout the year also. Expect some videos too.

TGC: I think we will be touring a lot, promoting the new EP, recording. I would like to make more music videos, and start playing at colleges and maybe an unplugged tour or something...

Is there anything else you would like to add?

TGC: Thank you for reading, and for having us. Your support is very well appreciated.

Come out and see us, we love to meet new people, everywhere we go!

The Dirty Youth are back with their explosive new single ‘Hurricane’, which was released on Friday 22nd September through Marshall Records. The band kicked off 2017 with the announcement that they were the first band to sign to Marshall Records. This was followed by the news that they would be heading to the legendary Abbey Road Studios to lay down new material.

'Hurricane’ is the first taste of what you can expect from a rejuvenated band with the world in their sights. Sweeping and yet punchy, emotive whilst taking no prisoners, ‘Hurricane’ is the sound of a band flexing their considerable sonic muscles and demanding your attention.

The singer Danni Monroe explains a bit about what the new song is about: “‘Hurricane’ is a metaphor for if we all get together, we can overcome the hate and negativity in society.”

The new single 'Hurricane' is melodic and beautiful with a striking chorus, resulting in a powerful offering, with the use of synths giving it more depth - it's a must hear!

Prog/Ambient Metallers 'Vrona' Announce 2 New Tracks & The Addition Of A Vocalist!

Vrona Announce New Songs With Addition Of Vocalist

Within a year of their inception, Vrona had already performed at Bloodstock and Mammothfest, and shared stages with the likes of Dorje, Cambion, The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing and more. Their first EP 'A Lapse In Time' released in early 2016 gained them critical acclaim with their instrumental offerings being compared to a vocal-less mix of Karnivool, TesseracT and Tool.

2017 sees a marked change in the band as they release two new tracks on October 25th and unveil a new twist to their ever evolving sound - the introduction of vocalist Jamie Ball.

The two track release entitled 'Impermanence' still showcases Vrona's brand of progressive ambient metal. However, the addition of vocals, and the acceptance of more outside influences into their melting pot shows that the band are not afraid to change things up.

To celebrate this new direction the band head out on tour in October/November supporting Core Of iO. See dates below:

The brothers Max and Iggor Cavalera formed the legendarily trailblazing heavy metal band SEPULTURA as teenagers together in 1983. A decade after Max left SEPULTURA and meanwhile released seven successfull records with SOULFLY, the two brothers got back together in 2006 to form CAVALERA CONSPIRACY: A bold testament to the talent and power these two possess together. Falling Through April Debut New Song And Video, “Desperate Measures”

Falling Through April Release New Song And Video, “Desperate Measures”

Charlotte, NC alt-rockers Falling Through April are premiering their dramatic new video for the song, "Desperate Measures."

"'Desperate Measures' is a song about not letting someone else bring you down or control you," says lead singer Mikaela Salazar, "that real 'charmer' that sneaks their way in and then you can’t get them out. It is an anthem for empowerment and just leaving those that try to drag you down behind."

The single is the newest material from Falling Through April, following their independent releases Take Flight (2012) and Risk and Reward EP (2015). In the last two years, they have toured with bands such as the Pretty Reckless and Flyleaf, and have performed at festivals, including Warped Tour and SXSW.

"We traveled to a little town called Newnan in Georgia to shoot the music video for “Desperate Measures” — it’s in the same area they film The Walking Dead," Salazar explains. "The set was on the grounds of this big textile manufacturing warehouse campus that seemed to never end. We actually needed an off-roading vehicle to move around. Filming was incredibly fun; the 18 hour days were not! There was even a point where people were literally falling asleep sitting in camping chairs in between takes.

"The hardest part about the whole process was making sure we caught the shots with the perfect lighting," she continues. "Because we were outdoors for the story line part of the shoot, we were dealing with elements outside of our control, and if you miss that small window for ‘The perfect shot,’ you either wait until the next day or you don’t get it. We shot the video late spring, and even then Georgia is very humid. We were drenched with sweat throughout the entire process. That actually helped with getting into character a bit – we didn’t shower for like three days to really ‘look the part’ for the post-apocalypse, shanty town storyline scenes. Director Jon King and our entire crew were unbelievable. Everyone worked so hard around the clock to make this happen, and we couldn’t ask for a better team."

“Desperate Measures” is the first single from the band’s new album “Zodiac”, which will be released in January 2018. FTA are currently in the process of booking their tour and more dates will be announced soon. In the meantime, be sure to catch them in Charlotte at one of the dates below.

Klogr New Album 'Keystone' Is Out Now!

With two albums, a DVD and 23 dates supporting Prong on their European tour, the alternative metal band, KLOGR, is back, heavier and more powerful than ever. On tour with The Rasmus this November!

'Sleeping Through the Seasons': https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOjFLDrDqtE

'Prison Of Light': https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyj3cq0JrAs

KLOGR have just released their third studio album 'Keystone' (mixed by Grammy winning producer David Bottrill - Stone Sour, Muse, Rush, Tool and more) on 6th October via Zeta Factory (distributed in the UK/Europe by PHD).

The artwork is a piece of a painting by renowned Italian artist, Andrea Saltini.

Klogr frontman Rusty comments: “A while ago, I saw a paint of Andrea Saltini and I was really impressed by it. When 'Keystone' came to life with its music, I immediately remembered that painting and thought it would be perfect for our cover. Luckily it was still available and we were able to use it for our design.”

'Keystone' tracklist:

1. Sleeping Through The Seasons
2. Prison Of Light
3. Technocracy
4. The Echoes Of Sin
5. Pride Before The Fall
6. Something's In The Air
7. Drag You Back
8. Sirens' Song
9. Dark Tides
10. Silent Witness
11. Enigmatic Smile
12. The Wall Of Illusion

“'Keystone' is a central point of a system, a doctrine, a school of thought, a series of events”, says Klogr mastermind Rusty, “the new album is the perfect representation of our work, what we believe in and what we want to express with our music.”

Rusty also says, "Man thinks that he is the cornerstone of the universe, he thinks everything revolves around his being, he believes he can dominate the world through intellect, he proclaims himself the superior species, master of all other living beings without taking into account the fact that the planet can go on without him...but he can't survive without the planet."

Klogr's new album was recorded at Zeta Factory Studio and mixed at Mainstation Studio in Toronto, Canada, by Grammy award winner David Bottrill (Peter Gabriel, Muse, Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, Dream Theater, Stone Sour, Rush).

“We decided to work with a producer like David to reach a turning point in our discography”, comments Rusty, “David brought something that was missing in the band, an outside view focused on music and not on what is “trendy”. His incredible musical sensitivity and his professional experience led us to challenge ourselves and to experiment new solutions that gave the album a unique power and personality.

We are really proud and satisfied of the result, this is our best work ever. We hope you will enjoy it!”

Hotel Wrecking City Traders Release New Album 'Passage to Agartha'

In existence for over 10 years and based in Melbourne, Australia, HWCT have been releasing music and touring the world, carving out their own special blend of psychedelic space rock. Thundering walls of guitars and tonal ferocity meet acid-soaked hypno-drones and riff after crushing riff.

HWCT were the first ever Australian band to be invited to play Desertfest in London in 2014, playing alongside labelmates The Cosmic Dead, as well as numerous tours across Australia,Japan,New Zealand, the UK and Spain.

This, their 5th full-length record and first double album is comprised of 6 mammoth tracks further pushing the sonic boundaries of previous releases with the addition of added instrumentation. Recorded over 3 days in June and December of 2016 at Cellar Sessions Studios, Melbourne with Max Ducker.

As the sound of HWCT has evolved over the course of the past 4 albums, countless EP’s and split releases with the likes of UK’s Hey Colossus. The expansiveness of the sound is evident from the opening driving riffs of ‘Quasar’ throughout the winding passage of sounds all the way to the closing lysergic drones of ‘Oroshi’.

Themes of journey, distance and space are boldly exhibited throughout the record and are abundant in the 15- minute-long title track. Dense walls of bottom end guitar and bone-crushing monolithic drums hit like waves of molten volcanic lava washing over a baron scorched wasteland.

Expansive riffs, cosmic repeato-drone, driving motorik beats, gargantuan slow burning waves of fuzz and mountains of rich tone. This is the ‘Passage to Agartha’.

Track listing:
1 | Quasar (11:02)
2 | Kanged Cortex (11:53)
3 | Chasing the Tendrils (16:59)
