Blackout Stream Whole New Album 'The Horse'

NYC trio BLACKOUT Streaming Forthcoming Album Via Noisey NYC trio Blackout are streaming their forthcoming album The Horse ahead of release in its entirety starting today via Noisey. Hear and share The Horse album HERE: https://noisey.vice.com/en_us/article/psych-doom-trio-blackout-rides-again-on-new-lp-the-horse Ask any New Yorker what makes them special and they'll all tell you something different. But there's something very particular about a city so condensed with a vast range of humanity all facing myriad daily challenges that gives its rock music a brash, direct aggression, unlike other places. Case in point, NYC trio Blackout's take on doom and stoner rock is filled with a gritty, mechanistic heft unlike bands of their ilk from anywhere else. Subsumed within the greasy grooves of The Horse there are echoes of NYC heavy legends like Helmet, Cro-Mags, Judge, Prong and others -- not as intentional homage, but rather a vibe that permeates and inadvertently gives i

REVIEW: A Killer's Confession - Unbroken

A Killer's Confession is led by former Mushroomhead vocalist Waylon Reavis. The album was recorded in Kentucky, and the anticipated debut comes thanks to David Ellefson of Megadeth’s EMP Label Group. For their debut, they enlisted some friend's and exciting guests appearances to add to the intrigue which raises the stakes high for their first offering... Opening track 'Awakening' is a short and unhinged scene setter for what lies ahead. Stand out track and latest single 'Rebirth' is atmospheric, melodic and consuming with prominent bass and powerful drums. The first single self-named title track, 'A Killer's Confession' features none other than Brian 'Head' Welch from Korn on guitar. It sounds strange and eerie through the use of electronic sounds and is a must hear. This is one menacing and crushing track which wouldn't sound out of place on an actual Korn album. The second half of the album treats us to more guest collaborations

EXIT EDEN Announces Debut Album "Rhapsodies in Black"!

photo credit: Christian Barz Four musicians from four different countries with four entirely different biographies, yet all stemming from the world of Rock, now united in one band: EXIT EDEN ! The all-female four piece ensemble unites all attributes ascribed to the new millennium: cosmopolitan, self-confident-independent and ready to do their very own thing! Despite their diversity, the four singers Amanda Somerville, Clémentine Delauney, Marina La Torraca and Anna Brunner blend together personally as superbly as they do vocally with their very diverse vocal tones and techniques that go from opera style to raspy rock! This constellation created extraordinary and powerful ideas and finally became their unique plan to raise EXIT EDEN’s very own edge: to show the world that almost every classic song can be transformed into a solid metal-rock song. EXIT EDEN’s debut "Rhapsodies in Black”, which will be released on August 4 via Napalm Records (worldwide excluding
