ELUVEITIE Release New Music Video For 'Epona'

ELUVEITIE Unleash New Music Video 'Epona'

Eight years after melodic death/folk metal masters ELUVEITIE released their acoustic album Evocation I, the Swiss musicians have stored their electronic instruments again in the rehearsal room. Evocation II - Pantheon will be released August 18th via Nuclear Blast Records. Today, they finally release the music video for 'Epona'. It was shot in and around the city of Avenches, in the south west of Switzerland. This city is, especially for ELUVEITIE, very rich in history as it was once called Aventicum, the capital of the Celtic Tigurini (who were part of the Helvetii tribe) and therefore also the home of one of the most iridescent characters of Celtic history: The mighty sovereign Divico who was brave enough to conquer the Roman emperor Gaius Julius Cäesar! His actions often appear in songs from ELUVEITIE. The clip was produced by Jason Sereftug-Borruso (Writer, Director) and Alexis Gudinchet (Assistant Director).

"We're super happy and proud to present you 'Epona' - the first single of our upcoming album 'Evocation II - Pantheon'!", states front man Chrigel Glanzmann. "The song is an ode to the riding goddess queen of the Celtic pantheon! And this not only lyrically. Also musically, for even though 'Epona' is an acoustic track, the song surges ahead with verve, power and speed and dashes like a galloping horse! It is a good song to give you a first glimpse of the raw, wild, honest, very folky and thoroughly Celtic character of 'Evocation II - Pantheon'!"

To guide you even deeper into their world of Evocation II - Pantheon and the new track, the band recently released an info video about the background story and who 'Epona' is. Watch it here:https://youtu.be/BG3ek1c8Gtw

REVIEW: Bobaflex - Eloquent Demons

Hard Rockers Bobaflex from West Virginian are back to wreak havoc with their eighth album ‘Eloquent Demons’ which is the follow to 2015’s ‘Anything That Moves’, this sees not only their first release through Thermal Entertainment but their first actual label release in a while after the band decided to go independent. They are a very hardworking and tireless band, having extensively toured, and even setting records for this, they certainly don’t do anything by half measures.
The opening intro and title track sounds very appropriately evil, with a creepy intro speech to set the scene whilst we wait for the demons to be fully unleashed…
First proper track ‘I Am Nightmare’ immediately sees heavy dark guitars and melodic group singing, which give it a classic feel with a gritty edge and is possesses a hell of a powerful chorus, not to mention a killer solo – this will be hard to forget.
Keeping the momentum going is ‘Long Time Coming’ which is equally as hard-hitting, with groove ridden and…

REVIEW: Vrona - Impermanence (Prog Metal)

Prog metallers, Vrona released their debut EP 'A Lapse In Time' last year which received positive press and even led to them being compared to the likes of heavyweights Karnivool, TesseracT and Tool, minus the vocals, as in 2016 they were an instrumental act. Now in 2017, they are back, not only with a new two-track release titled 'Impermanence' but they have also unveiled and added an extra dimension to their already massive sound with the introduction of a vocalist Jamie Ball.

The main title track 'Impermanence' is ambient and textured. The vocals are pleasant, captivating and varied which immediately gives them a different feel and layer, proving that adding vocalist Jamie was a wise move. It features soaring and powerful moments throughout. The fact that they now have vocals doesn't overpower the well crafted and intelligible instruments either but only acts as the perfect unison, with both complimenting each other wonderfully. They are all impressive mu…
