FEATURE: HIM TOP 5 VIDEOS

December 2017 saw the creators of love metal, Finnish band HIM calling it a day. It hasn't been long but they are missed dearly already so we decided to be nostalgic and look back at some of their best music videos especially in aid of Valentine's day on the 14th February and them being the creators of 'love metal'. So let's take a look at 5 essential HIM videos to check out...

Funeral Of Hearts

This is a very scenic and beautifully gothic video in the snowy setting with decorative fire and with symbolism throughout. It captures their Finnish and love metal essence. An essential masterful video from the band.

Wings Of A Butterfly

It is very atmospheric, dark and cinematic video and well produced, making it one of their best and most stand out videos. The song is ridiculously catchy also, again another must-see video in their releases.

Buried Alive By Love

This was one of their best and most popular songs and videos. Set in an old picturesque gothic theatre and starrin…

Latitudes premiere first track 'Moorland Is the Sea' from upcoming album 'Part Island'

Latitudes premiere first track 'Moorland Is the Sea' from upcoming album 'Part Island'

Check out 'Moorland Is The Sea' (official stream): https://youtu.be/coSyb3EC-Hc

On their fourth album 'Part Island' the UK atmospheric metal band Latitudes weave emotive metallic power and dream-state vulnerability - summoning a new level of melodicism through cast-iron, heartfelt songcraft.

Foregrounding vocals on every album track for the first time in the band’s 12 years, 'Part Island' is a dynamic collection unashamedly brim-filled with sadness and regret. Helmed by a performance of sheer naked honesty from vocalist Adam Symonds, the record incorporates acoustic guitar, piano and analogue synth within flowing volleys of melodic black metal, weighty contemplative doom and the wide-ranging wistfulness of indie, folk and shoegaze songwriting.
Produced by Chris Fielding (CONAN) at Skyhammer Studio, mastered by Audiosiege (CONVERGE) and featuring artwork by the in…

KILLIT release new video 'LOVE IS THE CHEMICAL'

London based hard rockers KILLIT return with their newest edition to an already kick ass catalogue with their new song LOVE IS A CHEMICAL boasting punchy riffs, soaring guitars and crushing grooves.

"‘Love Is The Chemical’ is the 2nd song we recorded with the current line up, with Ben on bass and myself on guitar. In my opinion, it’s probably our most radio-friendly song to date. For that reason, I enjoy playing it live a lot as it usually gets the crowd to sing along with the chorus, and that’s amazing!

The lyrical content is about a search for unity and love in a dark and violent world, as it’s very easy to un-see it as we go through life. It’s an encouragement to carry on despite all the difficulties one can meet." - Claire, Guitar

ELUVEITIE Release First New Single From Upcoming Album & Music Video

Matt Mitchell & The Coldhearts Announces Debut Album & Releases 'Black Diamonds' Video

British singer / song writer Matt Mitchell is back with a new self-titled group debut album and music video for lead track 'Black Diamonds'.

Watch 'Black Diamonds' (official music video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2ywDS5hZcw

The former Furyon and Colour Of Noise frontman describes the new song as being about an “inevitable ending”, explaining that "‘Black Diamonds’ is a metaphor for the loss of beauty/light/energy that occurs in the theoretical final stages of some stars life cycle (Black Dwarf). There were a lot of changes occurring around the time of the writing and demoing stages of this song. It started out as a song called ‘I hope you find what you’re looking for’ though after a rewrite session it morphed into the song we now know, being ‘Black Diamonds’.”

'Black Diamonds' was voted Number One in Louder's 'Tracks Of The Week' and received extensive airplay by the likes of Kerrang! Radio, Great Music Stories and more. In addition, Plane…

Anthony Vincent of 10 Second Songs Releases METALLICA'S "Enter Sandman" in 20 Styles

Anthony Vincent of Ten Second Songs has released his newest video, Metallica's "Enter Sandman" in 20 Styles. His newest auditory kaleidoscope renders the metal classic in the style of such diverse bands as Owl City, John Denver and The Doors as well as exploring genres as varied as lo-fi hip hop, Yodeling, and Synthwave.

" I want to start showcasing more metal and rock songs in non-metal styles to show non-metal listeners that metal and rock songs are just as good if not better than what they listen to. Or I just want to hear bad things sung in nice ways. Ok, a little bit of both. " - Anthony Vincent
