NYC metal/hardcore celebrity Billy Graziadei of Biohazard teams up with two teachers on CRU SOX, a brand that gives back

 

It all started when Edward was teaching his 8th grades teenagers and decided to look for ways to make a positive impact in the community and expand his reach beyond the classroom. Angela, his wife and teacher too, was on board right away. Their dream became a reality when they met their idole, NYC legend Billy Graziadei, founder of the band Biohazard.

Billy Graziadei and his Cru Sox partners, Angela and Edward Davis all have a passion to make the world a better place. Together they founded CRU SOX, a brand of socks with the primary goal to donate as many of them as possible to the homeless, every time a pair of socks is purchased.

“The success of the company is based on how much free stuff we can give away.” Much of the company’s support has come from artists and others who believe it’s worth the effort to put a smile on someone’s face.

Socks are one of the most needed articles of clothing for individuals experiencing homelessness, and are therefore one of the most requested items by charitable organizations that serve that population.

« Our “give back” sock donations only go to reputable charitable organizations (…) We already started donating socks to charity Project 150, an organization that supports homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students in the Las Vegas Valley. We are continually trying to expand our donation program to as many communities as possible around the world. We all know the hardship and dedication creating a brand or a company implies. In order to accomplish this project, they were lucky to join creative forces with Billy Graziadei (from legendary N.Y.C. hardcore/metal band Biohazard). They met after a show Walter and Angela attended, and they bonded over a shared love of music, style, and bringing a positive change to the community.
