BRIT THRASHERS KILONOVA RELEASE NEW SINGLE FROM UPCOMING EP

Relentless Northern metallers KILONOVA are braced to drop their stunning new EP, Moment of Clarity, out on Friday 5th May. The record is proceeded by their killer new single and video, Bleed by Example - check out the video below:   KILONOVA exploded out of the North-East of England in 2018, and immediately made an instant impact. Within six months of their live debut, the newcomers wooed audiences at Bloodstock Open Air Festival, and then, in 2019, continued to set loose their much-revered debut EP, Omnicide, which attracted substantial acclaim from Kerrang! as well as many others. The rampant quartet toured throughout the UK in support of the EP, and soon established themselves as a growing force aided by a budding reputation for lighting riffs and engrossing live performances. KILONOVA continued their climb with the release of their stand-alone single, Immortal, and then, in the midst of the pandemic, the band retreated to rehearse and create their next record, Moment Of Clarity.

Pleiades Return With Brand New Single 'Siberian'

Manchester based Post Hardcore outfit Pleiades are today proud to share their brand new single ‘Siberian’. Encouraging themselves to be seen as an anomaly of the alternative world, Pleiades have spent the time since their formation cultivating an artistic, heavy sound that leaves them unbound by categorisation. Inspired by stories of empathy and human nature, they aim to be the sculptors of a bold new sonic landscape. 'Siberian', produced by Joe Clayton (Pijn, Leeched) reflects the story of Alexander I, a Russian emperor in the 1800s alleged to have faked his own death to live a life of isolation and solitude. “...after a lot of reading during 2020 I came across the story of Alexander I of Russia and a rumor that he faked his own death to live as a hermit. It served as a vehicle for my narrative of giving up everything in search of solitude and that no amount of wealth was enough. Whether it was because of the pressure of titles or the guilt of living in such privilege while

Motorhead announce unreleased concert Live at Montreux Jazz Festival 2007 to be released

Motörhead loved playing live and never ever judged their audiences. Everyone was encouraged, all were welcome. And that included people who like jazz! So when the Montreux Festival called requesting them, it made perfect sense in its own, unique way. ‘Tis worth noting, too, that the Festival has always been about stepping beyond the boundaries of that ‘J’ word, and embracing unique artists of all genres, styles and sensibilities, the only true consistent requirement being that they represent the best and most adventurous of their ilks. It is why, in the ‘artists played’ list, alongside a Dexter Gordon you’ll find a Deep Purple or a ZZ Top, and it’s why the Festival continues to attract a diverse roster of artists to its stage annually. The recordings of seminal performances such as these, were all given UNESCO heritage status in 2013, such is their value to the arts. Recorded during the band’s ‘Kiss Of Death’ tour at the legendary Auditorium Stravinski on 7th July during the 2007 e

ALT ROCKERS HEADCAGE SHARE NEW SINGLE ‘FALSE GOLD’

Newcastle Upon Tyne Alternative Post-Hardcore band ‘headcage’ have shared their brand new single ‘false gold’. It’s a single that encapsulates the way a lot of people feel in the current societal climate towards those with wealth and status. With ‘false gold’ headcage share a personal take of the sheer disparity that exists between the different classes living in the North East of the UK. “With this track I’m trying to lay down the premise of always wanting more from life, as in wealth, status or fame but ultimately realising the people and culture that those things predominantly exist in are not the world I come from or identify with in any way, shape or form. To put it simply, it's something I’ve always wanted for so long, and is also something I hate”. - Vocalist, Leyum Pattinson. Check out the official music video below: To coincide with the release of ‘false gold’ headcage have announced their biggest headline show to date in their hometown Newcastle on the 6th May 2023. S

The Damned release new single & video 'You're Gonna Realise' from new album Darkadelic

“You’re Gonna Realise” is the last single prior to the release of “DARKADELIC” on April 28th… the day the world will see the dark in a whole new light. Its sound is trademark Damned… a little punk, a little goth, but this time with a lot of other goodies mixed in. The mood is darkly psychedelic with nods to their influences and history. Sonically and lyrically, though, it blasts away at any notion of nostalgia. David Vanian’s lyrics vow “You’re Gonna Realise the past is just the past.” Captain Sensible brings infectious charm and modern guitar crunch. New drummer Will Taylor adds a new kinda kick. Paul Taylor on bass neat neat neatly propels things along. Monty Oxymoron wraps it all up with madman keyboard runs and flourishes. Watch the Video of “You’re Gonna Realise” HERE Director Martin Gooch raises the ante for his final video in the filmic DARKADELIC trilogy. Tribe Of Ghosts Release New Single Sunburner (Deny The Rot)

Tribe Of Ghosts are today proud to share their brand new single Sunburner (Deny The Rot). The track is a journey of ambient synths and pop hooks that descends into an unrelenting sonic assault, with a guest appearance from vocalist Ben Mason, known for his devastating vocals in Bound in Fear and Pintglass. The lyrics of Sunburner (Deny The Rot) were originally written in 2018 by guitarist Adam Sedgwick about his experiences before and after being diagnosed with ‘Generalised Anxiety Disorder’. A powerfully personal disclosure, the lyrics outline the daily denial of mental illness, ending with the acceptance of the disorder and the beginning of therapy and healing. “When my mental health began severely declining before my diagnosis, I always associated the Sun as some kind of aggressor or enemy as it would cause emotional and physical discomfort whenever I saw it... This discomfort would bring on these intense feelings of anxiety and intense physical pain that I would daily attempt to

THE USED SHARE NEW SINGLE “NUMB”

Rock icons The Used have shared their newest single “Numb” taken from their highly anticipated upcoming album Toxic Positivity, out May 19 via Hassle Records/Big Noise. The track tackles the all-too-familiar sensation of feeling too much and nothing at all simultaneously. The reoccurring line – “does anybody else feel numb?” delivered in Bert McCracken’s passionate voice – is as much a reminder as it is a question, searching for reassurance that we aren’t alone in this feeling. Fans can stream “Numb” now at https://theused.ffm.to/numb When asked, McCracken draws a parallel between the band’s 2020 song “To Feel Something” and ‘Numb’.: “I just wanna feel something. Anything is better than this. I just wanna feel something. No different from anyone else. Wanna waste my time but not like this at all. I just wanna feel something. No different from anyone else.” “Cause I feel numb. Does anybody else feel numb?” “Numb” is the first single from The Used’s new album Toxic Positivity. Over

ENTER SHIKARI Highly-anticipated new album 'A Kiss for the Whole World' is out today + new video released

ENTER SHIKARI have today released their highly-anticipated new album A Kiss for the Whole World. Buy / stream A Kiss for the Whole World HERE. Enter Shikari have a way with opening statements and as their new album begins with the words “Be embraced, billions” ( ‘A Kiss for the Whole World x’ ), we immediately learn plenty about the band's ambition for this album to touch people. Its trio of whirlwind single releases to date have reignited dormant sparks ( '(pls) set me on fire' ), confronted how we measure self-worth ( 'It Hurts' ) and eyed the trappings of cyclical mistakes ( ‘Bloodshot’ ). Journeying through the new album, we are met with calls to revel in the power of spontaneity, (‘Leap Into The Lightning’), encouraged to explore (‘Jailbreak’), and - most poignantly - asked to consider the changing nature of identity (‘giant pacific octopus’). For Enter Shikari, rejuvenation, resilience and resurrection have been on the agenda as they've been introducing

Skindred drop brand new track 'If I Could'

Having just blown Takedown Festival’s main-stage audience away with their headline set earlier this month, Skindred have today released a brand-new song taken from their forthcoming new album, Smile. ‘If I Could’ showcases another side of that album, with its singalong chorus delivering stadium rock vibes. Frontman Benji recalls that the track was inspired by lockdown and how much he hated 2020 and the effect it had on the world. “On the other hand, 2023 is a different story,” he says. “We’ve released new music and we’re still to drop another few monsters from our album ‘Smile’. We’ve got the KISS tour coming, and we’ve also got our headline tour supporting the new album. So 2023, to me, looks like a very exciting time to be in Skindred. I’m very optimistic about the future!” ‘If I Could’ follows the recent singles ‘Gimme That Boom’ and ‘Set Fazers’ ; dancefloor bangers which blast out Skindred’s trademark ragga-metal to maximum effect.
