"Promises is about struggling with an inner conflict between holding on to old commitments or pursuing new paths in life. We wrote the song together with Christopher Stjerne (H.E.R.O.), who immediately understood the direction we were going for. Our approaches to songwriting matched so well together, that we invited him to sing on the track with Mikkel, which suited the song amazingly." Check Out The Video below: "'Head Above Water' is about finding yourself stuck in a downward spiral that you cannot seem to escape no matter how hard you try. The song is quite aggressive compared to most other songs we wrote over the past couple of years. Bringing in Andreas Bjulver (CABAL) to deliver his screamed vocals for the heavy parts, however, added just the kind of emotional expression to the song that we were hoping for. It centers around the consequences of social exclusion, a fall from grace to a ‘pariah’.
