Umbilicus (Cannibal Corpse/Deicide members) release video for new single “Gates Of Neptune”

New rock band UMBILICUS has released their third single, “Gates Of Neptune”, from their upcoming debut album “Path Of 1000 Suns”, with an accompanying video. Fresh onto the scene, the quartet have put their death metal chops aside, and embraced their collective love of 60s and 70s hard rock. On “Gates Of Neptune”, Nordberg said: “Gates is definitely one of my favorite songs on the album. It’s a pretty simple song, but it says so much and is so incredibly dynamic. It really takes you on a journey. Brian’s vocals are also absolutely beautiful on this track, and really made it go from a neat song to an epic one! Though we made the band to make some classic hard rock, one of the things that made all those old bands so good was because they were able to be dynamic and have a “ballad” track on an album. “Dream On” I rest my case! We hope you all enjoy this song. “Path Of 1000 Suns” can be pre-ordered at “Path Of 1000 Suns” will be out September 30th on Listena

ETCHED IN EMBERS Confront Fear and Unite Fans with New Single and Music Video

Lake of the Ozarks Missouri based Heavy Rock / Metal band ETCHED IN EMBERS has released the official music video for their new single, "Fear'! The song plunges the listener through a mix of emotions, from despair and confusion to strength and revolution. Going from the pumping and driven intro and verses, to the swaying release of the chorus, capped off with a signature Tyler Kenyon guitar solo, the song hits all the right feels, and is a much needed anthem for today's world. The single was produced by Chris Dawson (SAUL, Any Given Sin, Lines of Loyalty), with the video filmed / directed by J.T. Ibanez, "Fear" is the band's third single with more slated to release throughout the rest of 2022. "Life has been very difficult for a lot of people. Fear has been this massive weight that people need to shed as they return to normal life, and we want to be there singing this song with them as they do." - Russell Rhodenizer With a heavy slate of shows th

Chicago-based Action/Adventure have released a cover of The Anxiety's 2021 hit 'Meet Me At Our Spot', the song also features label mate Alex Melton. The single is out now via Pure Noise Records. Listen to Meet Me At Our Spot HERE or below. Speaking about the cover Blake Evaristo said 'When this song came out last year we very quickly became obsessed with it and listened to it all the time while on tour. We'd joked around about covering it and ended messing around with the progression at practice one day it was cool so we went with it and it came out super fun.' Alex Melton also spoke about working with Action/Adventure and said 'I've been a fan of Action/Adventure for a while now, I love their energy and the Pulling Focus EP absolutely bangs. I was ecstatic to be able to sing with them on this cover. We split up the parts between the three of us and it's such a great concept jumping back and forth between the vocalists. I love what they're

Glasgow’s GODEATER have today announced their highly anticipated upcoming album ‘Vespera’ which is set for release on 30th September 2022. Although still covered in aggression the new album will see GODEATER release their most atmospheric work to date. Alongside the announcement of their new album the band have dropped the second offering in the form of new single ‘God Complex’. In ‘God Complex’ we see the Scottish riff-masters explore new avenues while keeping the core of GODEATER in place. The band have cleverly created a beautifully haunting piece of work that twists around new rhythms and enters a whole new realm of music for the 5-piece. Check out the official music video for ‘God Complex’ right here’: “A musical precursor to recent single The Hatchet, God Complex sees GODEATER lean into a groovier style we haven’t explored before. The aggression and atmosphere remain, but the song sets a different pace for the band and a renewed sense of dejection and despair begin to creep

Figure Of Speechless reveals “Inside Room 6” with new video single

Heading for the album release of “Tunnel At The End Of Light” and shortly after the Janus-faced single “Day And Night”, Figure Of Speechless are back with a surprisingly sinister theme for their brand spanking new video single “Inside Room 6”. Starting off on an eerie tune to gloom the listener’s perception somewhat for a brief moment, the song quickly takes a turn towards a realm of madness, heralded by a startling, isolated riff that cuts through the veil like a whip through thick air. The following pendulum-like swinging back and forth between the extremes of internalization and outburst can best be described in the words of the mastermind himself: “When I wrote this song, it must have been a manic sort of week if the music is anything to go by. I was a little concerned about being able to write lyrics for this song, but they ended up being about a person who lives in a mental asylum (in Room 6). They take a crazy journey out of body and visit lots of places outside the asylum. Af

INTERVIEW - ASCENDIA: "Rock out, cry, reminisce, get angry. So much emotion was poured into this album."

Toronto hard rockers Ascendia have created a sound that embodies their wide-ranging influences. Combining what they learned from commercial rock contemporaries with elements, they liked of Country and Pop songs and their upcoming album 'Parasite' strongly asserts this musical growth and transformation. With the release of the hard-hitting 'This War' as the first taste of their new album, we chatted to vocalist Nick Sakal to find out more about the band and their forthcoming album. Firstly, let’s go back to the beginning. What are your earliest memory of music and the moment you decided you wanted to be a musician? I didn’t grow up in a particularly musical family. My earliest memories of music would have to be around our dinner table when I was younger. I lived in a house with my grandparents alongside my mom, dad and 2 brothers. My grandmother had the most incredible voice and used to sing while my family gathered around the dinner table for dinner. Being a musician wa
