REVIEW: I Am Pariah - 'Charm Before The Storm' EP

  Rising British nu-metalcore trio I Am Pariah from Stoke On Trent, UK will self release their new three-track EP ‘Charm Before The Storm’ 27th November 2020. This release sees them turn things up a notch with more metal experimentation following the release of 2018's successful 'Procreate//Annihilate' EP. Opening track 'Suck It Up' is fast, varied and has an anthemic chorus aided by Benjamin Antony James unique vocals which help give them an extra edge. A decisive and crushing way to kick things off. 'Sicko' is the heaviest and most aggressive song featured on the EP and highlights their nu-metal sound most prominently with strong guitar work and an unhinged charged sound throughout which works wonderfully. The closing song 'Kill The Modern World' is the most diverse and experimental offering with stand out clean vocals and ambience throughout.
