REVIEW: I Am Pariah - 'Charm Before The Storm' EP

Rising British nu-metalcore trio I Am Pariah from Stoke On Trent, UK will self release their new three-track EP ‘Charm Before The Storm’ 27th November 2020. This release sees them turn things up a notch with more metal experimentation following the release of 2018's successful 'Procreate//Annihilate' EP. Opening track 'Suck It Up' is fast, varied and has an anthemic chorus aided by Benjamin Antony James unique vocals which help give them an extra edge. A decisive and crushing way to kick things off. 'Sicko' is the heaviest and most aggressive song featured on the EP and highlights their nu-metal sound most prominently with strong guitar work and an unhinged charged sound throughout which works wonderfully. The closing song 'Kill The Modern World' is the most diverse and experimental offering with stand out clean vocals and ambience throughout. The track takes an unexpected soaring twist towards the end, making it very expansive. 'Charm Before ...

Latitudes premiere first track 'Moorland Is the Sea' from upcoming album 'Part Island'

Latitudes premiere first track 'Moorland Is the Sea' from upcoming album 'Part Island' Check out 'Moorland Is The Sea' (official stream): https://youtu.be/coSyb3EC-Hc On their fourth album 'Part Island' the UK atmospheric metal band Latitudes weave emotive metallic power and dream-state vulnerability - summoning a new level of melodicism through cast-iron, heartfelt songcraft. Foregrounding vocals on every album track for the first time in the band’s 12 years, 'Part Island' is a dynamic collection unashamedly brim-filled with sadness and regret. Helmed by a performance of sheer naked honesty from vocalist Adam Symonds, the record incorporates acoustic guitar, piano and analogue synth within flowing volleys of melodic black metal, weighty contemplative doom and the wide-ranging wistfulness of indie, folk and shoegaze songwriting. Produced by Chris Fielding (CONAN) at Skyhammer Studio, mastered by Audiosiege (CONVERGE) and featuring artwork...

British singer / song writer Matt Mitchell is back with a new self-titled group debut album and music video for lead track 'Black Diamonds'. Watch 'Black Diamonds' (official music video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2ywDS5hZcw The former Furyon and Colour Of Noise frontman describes the new song as being about an “inevitable ending”, explaining that "‘Black Diamonds’ is a metaphor for the loss of beauty/light/energy that occurs in the theoretical final stages of some stars life cycle (Black Dwarf). There were a lot of changes occurring around the time of the writing and demoing stages of this song. It started out as a song called ‘I hope you find what you’re looking for’ though after a rewrite session it morphed into the song we now know, being ‘Black Diamonds’.” 'Black Diamonds' was voted Number One in Louder's 'Tracks Of The Week' and received extensive airplay by the likes of Kerrang! INTERVIEW: The Rocket Dolls (UK)

Brighton rock trio have just unleashed their sophomore album 'DeaDHeaD' which is going down a storm with rock fans and press alike and they have quickly established themselves as a rising rock band to look out for and as a result, they have secured festival appearances this summer at  Ramblin’Man Fair, Wildfire Festival and more. The band are currently on their UK tour supporting the album so I caught up with vocalist/guitarist Nikki Smash to discuss this, the  new album and more... Can you tell us about your formation? We all met in college and all shared the same drive, passion about being in a Riff/Grunge Band outfit and when we formed Indie was huge and we hated it and almost wanted to get rid of it, haha! We were all session musicians and weren’t enjoying that so we decided to make the plunge and started the band! How did you come up with your band name? I was watching MTV2 or MTV rocks really late at night one of those I’m not going to sleep tonight, nights....

REVIEW: The Rocket Dolls - 'DeaDHead'

Heavy rock trio The Rocket Dolls unleash their sophomore album 'DeaDHead' on the 6th April and it will further assert their status as ones to watch… New single 'None Of This Is Right’ kicks off the album and makes for a dramatic gripping start. Nikki Smash’s vocals are great and varied. This is a solid well-rounded rock track that is strong with catchy hooks throughout…everything is ‘right’ about this. The dark title track 'DeaDHead' has a hard grunge vibe, bouncy heavy riffs and memorable guitar work. This a standout track which serves perfectly as the representation of the band’s sound. This release is well balanced, ranging from stomping grunge rock anthems to more chilled and mainstream rock moments seen in tracks such as ‘She Said’ which is stripped back but still with a grunge rock influence present and ‘The Last Thing On My Mind’ which flows wonderfully on from this, with a massive rock ballad feel and again demonstrates their softer more accessibl...

Courtesans are special guests to the Flint, Michigan alternative metal group on all 10 UK dates of their 'La Petite Mort or a Conversation with God' tour. "King 810 are one of not many bands around who embrace the idea of transcending genres. We feel we follow the same non-conformist and somewhat experimental path which in theory makes us a positive match. What we do have in common is musical and lyrical darkness that comes from our genuine life experiences. We are very much looking forward to immersing ourselves in moral and philosophical tar with King 810." - Sinead, Saffire, Agnes, and Vikki (The Courtesans). Krysthla Drummer To Step Down Due To Medical Condition Plus Band Release New Lyric Video

Krysthla drummer To Step Down With Replacement Already Confirmed & The Band Release New Lyric Video 'Yawm Al Qiyamah’ It’s with much regret and sadness that Krysthla has to announce the departure of Wayne Minney from the band due to medical reasons which could result in surgery or worse if he doesn’t stop playing drums. For some time now Wayne has been suffering with severe sciatica caused by spinal compression and degradation in his lower back. MRI scans have identified the problem and the doctor’s advice is to stop drumming as soon as possible. This is because every time he plays, he aggravates the issue and if this continues to occur then the only method of treatment available would be very complicated surgery. Surgery that carries with it a very real risk of paralysis. This is obviously a real blow for us. Wayne is family and has been integral to the band for such a long time. We’ve all tried to make this work, truly, but not at the risk of his well-being. Wayne...

Death Blooms Release New Music Video 'Sick'

As seen on Scuzz TV, and taken from their self-titled debut ep, Death Blooms dispense with the pleasantries and show off music muscle with their new music video 'Sick': Hailing from Liverpool and Manchester, the metalcore four-piece burst onto the scene earlier this year with their stunning first music release 'I'm Dead' and a number of live shows which has seen them sharing the stages with the likes of Dope, Skindred, Raging Speedhorn, (Hed)P.E., Anti-Clone and more. Supporters of mental health charity MIND, Death Blooms fresh take on metal with meaning has seen their fan base grow rapidly. Vocalist Paul Barrow humbly recognises this, "We talk to people a lot who've taken the time to listen to our music, and because the lyrics encapsulate what many of us feel on a daily basis, a lot of folk make the connection quickly about mental health and the need for well-being in this fast and furious digital age." Barrow explains the meaning behind ...

Klogr - 'Make Your Stand' EP Review

Italian Alternative metal quartet Klogr return with follow up to their album, 'Black Snow' with new EP, 'Make Your Stand'.. The EP kicks off with, 'Breaking Down' which hits hard from the off with it's thrash inspired instruments, interesting dynamic time signatures and Rusty's varied powerful vocals, which are both demanding and melodic. Rusty's vocals perfectly compliment the changeable flow of the complex structure of emotions exhibited through the instruments, which are well executed and demonstrate the bands collective talent and unity! Next we have the title track, 'Make Your Stand' which features endless intelligible and bouncy guitar work keeping things energetic and memorable. Rusty again shows off his vocal capabilities, going from stand out clean melodic to fierce growls, which adds extra depth and emphasis. To see us out we are graced with more impressive guitar work accompanied by mean grunts and pounding drums, all ma...
