The intricate storytelling is matched with the abundance of melodies and powerful vocals. Band founder Connor McCray comments on it: “The Plains of Silence takes us back to Tython to the Silent Desert; where all sound is nullified and students can meditate on the power of the world. This was the first song I wrote for the EP and it definitely has a much more “Happy” feel than many of the other songs I’ve written.” Vis Mystica offers escapism from everyday life, transporting listeners into a fantastical world of magical powers and epic stories. Framing Hanley premiere 'Forgiveness Is An Art' (animated video)

Framing Hanley have released an animated lyric video for "Forgiveness Is An Art". After a 6 year hiatus, the band released their Envy album released through Thermal Entertainment earlier this year right at the start of the pandemic.  Check out the lyric video below: Kenneth Nixon on the song "This song was a special song for us in the making of Envy. When Ryan informed us he’d be stepping away, Stoye moved from bass to guitar. This riff was the first riff he played out of the blue one day at rehearsals, and at the time, we thought the album was complete. But I heard the riff and said “yo…let’s run with that.” The lyric “forgiveness is an art” was the first thing that came out of my mouth when I started ad-libbing (“cave-manning,” as I say…basically making melody and phonetic sounds to get the scope of the idea, and approaching later to write the story). Lyrically, it makes sense why that popped in my head though. We had gone through a lot of crap throughout th

REVIEW: Swamp Thief - 'I' (EP)

Swamp Thief are a heavy rock duo from Swansea, South Wales, consisting of Simon Bevan (Vocal/Guitars/Bass) and Marc Lockwood on Drums. They have unleashed their debut EP titled 'I' made up of four tracks. First track ‘Mary’ gets things off to an explosive start with hard heavy-hitting drums and insane guitar tones which is melodic throughout. They make a lot of sound for a duo, and this first offering is well-blended and gets you hooked. ‘Whip Hand’ shows more gritty colossal guitars with heavy distortion with clean and powerful vocals, making for a great combination. They display their talent wonderfully, and the track ends on tremendous down beat sludginess. ‘Maelstrom Queen‘ takes a different more subtle progressive approach before unleashing its full force, with full-on crunchy groovy riffs in the longest offering. It features massive all surrounding vocals which all tracks do and is very well executed and produced to aid their huge sound. It is the most diverse and chall

Celeb Car Crash today release "Red Dawn Rising", a new single mixed by Riccardo "Paso" Pasini at Studio73 and mastered at La Maestà Studio by Giovanni Versari (Muse, Afterhours ...) "We prefer to talk about Resistance and not about Resilience, Resilience presupposes that after a trauma you return to an unchanged initial situation, in short it would be the ability to absorb a shock, a painful event, a tragedy and start again as before. Well, none of us are like before after a trauma, nobody is the same person as the day before. Fuck Resilience! We are still people who, in the face of adversity and the wind that whistles in our face, huddle together, face and resist everything with a different awareness and a few more wounds ". “RED DAWN RISING”: It represents the Resistance and the liberating feeling of being able to resolve conflicts in a resolute and hard way to be able to breathe again, after being ashamed and hiding in a nut shell, after being hurt. Falling Nine Release New Single Of Cover of Sweet's 1974 hit 'Fox on the Run'

Three simple words were all it took for Cardiff-based Falling Nine to record their new single, a cover of the 1974 hit ‘Fox on the Run’ originally written and performed by 70s Glam Rockers Sweet. “Fancy recording it?.” Frontman David Lydiard explains “I hadn’t heard the song for ages and one day during a trip down a YouTube rabbit hole I came across a live cover by the Chili Peppers with John singing. It had a raw, punk energy to it, and being a massive Frusciante fanboy, I instantly loved it. So I put up a very rough, live acoustic version of it on our YouTube Channel, just for a bit of fun. During lockdown, Steve (Watts) stumbled across it, tells me that he likes it, and asked me if I fancy recording a full version of it, and here we are” ‘Fox on the Run’ sees Falling Nine on a sort of comeback trail with this single being their first new release in four years. “Sometimes life gets in the way, which is why we’ve taken so long between this and our last record (2016’s ‘Atonement’), but

Screams of Syrens Release New Video “Mr. Nobody”

Screams of Syrens announce their new single “Mr. Nobody” coming out in video form this October. The heavy, theatrical rollercoaster of death has been evolving over the years into something the band is very proud of, they expect their fans to be shocked and surprised with what they have been working on. Aiming to bring listeners out of reality and into a story, this is not the band that writes about relationships and current events. This is an intense movie-like experience through music with a horror theme, playing to the interest of the musicians that are pervasive in all their new singles. The band comments on the track: “With Mr. Nobody, we decided to really dive into the insanity that goes on inside a killer’s mind. This song is structured to feel chaotic and relentless, while still keeping the theatrical element of our songwriting intact. We also wanted to bring back some of our heavy roots, which we feel a lot of our fans will love!” The cohesiveness of a band that has been play

On the 26th of November, 2020, philosophical Black Metal band Fourth Monarchy released an album teaser of the forthcoming full-length “Nocturnal Odes of a Wandering Spirit” (out in March 2021). Appearing 14 years after the first full-length “Amphilochia”, which is now considered a Cult of the underground Black Metal scene, the new album will reaffirm the eminent song-writing as well as the enigmatic conceptual journey which erected a shroud of mystery around this band back in 2007, right before it disappeared in silence. In reverence to the spiritual bond that connects the 1990s Black Metal movement with the Individualist struggle of the 1700s’ Romantic Poets, Fourth Monarchy consecrate their work to the resurrection of the sacred Flame of Knowledge from the decadent emptiness of the surrounding world. The Guitar Ninja Academy - Could This be the Future of Guitar Lessons?

A Northampton, UK based guitar teacher has turned their business and its industry on its head throughout this years’ lockdowns. This guitar school  has cracked the code for motivating new and old guitar players alike. Rory, (29) has been a guitar teacher for (15) years but when the first lockdown hit in March he realised he needed to make some big changes. His students were keen to keep playing but he was unable to meet any of them in person. In amongst a web of phone calls, e-mails and Zoom lessons, an idea sprung into his mind. What if there was a way to make guitar lessons a game. Not like Guitar Hero, but in a way that actually allowed the students to understand the music and the instrument itself. As someone who knows what it’s like to learn guitar, Rory found that the biggest problem guitar players find when it comes to practicing is motivation. It’s often way more tempting to watch TV or to play a game, especially when you’re new to an instrument. What’s the motivation? To be

Russian Symphonic Metal Band ElisaDay Are Working On New Album

The band was formed in summer 2013 by the participants of sympho-metal band "Lanewin", after the moment when Anna Beliva, the leader of this group, disappointed in metal and started her new solo project. After several vocal casting sessions, the musicians chose Lubov Dunaeva, who had charmed them with her voice and fascination. As a result there was a full re-branding and the band had been named as "ElisaDay". The band started to rehearse a lot and prepare the materials for a record. Musicians chose 4 tracks for their debut EP, which was named "Find the Answer", and then came to Finland to record drums in the famous "Astia Studio", where Children Of Bodom had recorded their best albums. After that there was a hard work with keyboards, orchestra and vocal recordings and in summer 2014 they started mixing and mastering all the stuff. The main producer and sound-engineer was Vadim "Wayland" Parshutkin from "Soundway Records". T
