She Screams Murder Interview

Melodic Metalcore band, She Screams Murder from Birmingham released their self titled debut EP on the 28 th of May which I had the honour of exclusively reviewing for Basement Sound… I wanted to ask the band about their new release, as well as the future and upcoming festivals, so I put some questions to them which were answered by Guitarist, Tom Wills. CL:  So you looking forward to playing the first ever BasementFest on August 20th? SSM:  We are very excited about being part of the very first BasementFest 2011. We have done a few gigs for Alan of the Arc show previously and we have thoroughly enjoyed every single one so this is one we have been looking forward to since the day Alan said it was in the pipeline and now its happening with us on the bill so its awesome! CL:  Are you proud of your debut EP? What's your personal favourite song on there and why? SSM:  We are extremely proud of our debut EP. We just cant see how else we could have improved it in any...

Wrapped In Plastic Unwrapped Interview

I put some questions to the sick and twisted minds of Birmingham based band, Wrapped In Plastic.. How you sum up the new EP, "LollyGagger"? Dope. How do you think it compares to your previous material? A loaded question. As with our previous CDs, this is produced by us, and with the experience, our skills have continued to improve. This is probably the more ‘conventional’ of our CDs in presentation terms, but the music is not compromised. It still is fuelled by hate, abuse and little boys. What are you most proud of on the EP, do you have any particular favourites, and if so why? The songs are all like our children and so it wouldn’t be fair to single any particular on out. Like children, you can tell that one might be more pleasant to others, whilst another might just be trouble. But they are all equally important. Explain the concept behind it. Well, explaining these things tends to dilute them – too prescriptive. The people who this is designed for will get...

My Chris Jericho Interview (WWE Superstar & FOZZY Frontman)

So I was given the amazing opportunity to do a phone interview with Chris Jericho, WWE Superstar and Frontman of Heavy Rock band, Fozzy. Fozzy are beginning their Summer Tour on the 2 nd of June, starting in Canada, New York, then heading over here, doing 6 UK dates, including Sonisphere on the 10 th of July, as well as Europe on their biggest tour yet! I spoke to him while he was in Los Angeles about the upcoming tour, particularly about playing one of the biggest Metal festivals in the UK, Sonisphere. I asked him if he was excited about coming back here and he responded, “I’ve always considered the UK to be like a second home to us, which is why we spend so much time touring over there. Our fan base just keeps getting bigger and bigger, there's a lot of demand for the band, so we always want to come back and we love playing there. Sonisphere is going to be one of the biggest gigs we have ever had. It’s kind of a reward and to our fans in England, if it wasn...
