BUSH release long-awaited 10th studio album 'I Beat Loneliness' today!

Today, BUSH release their 10th studio album, I Beat Loneliness — a bold, emotionally charged body of work born from heartbreak, isolation, and deep self-examination. Produced by Erik Ron (Panic! At The Disco), the record is steeped in the honesty and cathartic power that has defined Rossdale’s career. Introduced by first single ‘The Land of Milk and Honey’ a gritty yet euphoric anthem, and ‘60 Ways to Forget People’, a slow-burn reckoning with memory and loss, the album pushes further into visceral territory. Spanning 12 anthemic and soul-baring tracks, I Beat Loneliness opens an unflinching conversation around emotional vulnerability — especially the silence that often surrounds men’s mental health. On tracks like ‘Scars’ — the record’s focus track — BUSH confront that silence head-on. ‘Scars’ is a raw reckoning with pain and healing, turning wounds into proof of survival. From seismic rock choruses to stripped-down confessions, the album dares listeners to feel everything — rem...

ALBUM REVIEW: BUSH - 'I Beat Loneliness'

Bush is back with their unique electrifying sound with their anticipated tenth album, 'I Beat Loneliness', which is released worldwide on July 18th 2025. The album gets off to a gripping start with the striking 'Scars', which has a particularly catchy and powerful chorus. The title track 'I Beat Loneliness' features pleasing and charming vocals, accompanied by driven, commanding riffs, making it a good representation of the album and the band's sound. The already released single 'Land Of Milk And Honey' embodies the signature Bush sound, with alluring vocals and a high-impact chorus, and sports a darker vibe, making it a standout moment. 'We're All The Same On The Inside' is uplifting, dynamic, and relatable. Changing up the tempo and direction, 'Don't Be Afraid' offers a more soothing, mellow moment with emotive vocals, keeping things diverse. 'Footsteps In The Sand' picks up the pace again and is equally ambient an...

LIVE REVIEW: Linkin Park - Wembley Stadium, London UK 28/6/25

Linkin Park played their biggest-ever sold-out headline show at Wembley Stadium in London, UK, on Saturday, the 28th of June, to around 75,000 fans. It was a scorching day in terms of weather, but that didn't stop the masses from filling out a packed stadium, which was quite a sight in itself. It was the band's first time playing the stadium, and my first time seeing a band play here, and it was quite an experience. Considering some have been throwing negative comments about having a new vocalist join the band since the tragic passing of original vocalist Chester Bennington in 2017, which led to the band going on a hiatus and then a reformation in the form of new vocalist Emily Armstrong, and drummer Colin Brittain to join original members vocalist/rhythm guitarist/keyboardist, Mike Shinoda, DJ/turntablist Joe Hahn and bassist Dave Farrell. Original lead guitarist Brad Delson is still part of the band, but only for recording and not touring, so Alex Feder is currently their tou...

Bang Bang Firecracker Release New Single ‘Ain’t Nothin’ Gonna Change’

Bang Bang Firecracker throw down the gauntlet with their latest anthem ‘Ain’t Nothin’ Gonna Change’, which was released 31.07.24. This is the second single to be released from a Septology of works conceptualised as ‘Seven Deadly Singles’. At almost five minutes long, this latest track takes the listener on a thrill-packed audio adventure. So buckle up for Sloth! Marching drums and a hypnotizing bass line deliver a progressive and Tarantino-esque introduction to this song. Inevitably, mayhem ensues, and the reality of this track comes crashing down. A Barrage of huge Riffs underpin Kieron’s formidable vocals, and the raging lyrical narrative is nailed home hard. Paying a momentary tribute to Motorhead, Kieron screams the line, “We all forgot The Joker!”. A blitzkrieg guitar solo immediately follows and faces are melted as the track is bought to a masterful climax! Earlier this year, the band revealed their third album concept, ‘Seven Deadly Singles’. Comprising of seven brand ne...

SINGLE REVIEW: Luna Marble - 'Sea Of Sorrow'

Formed in 2020, Manchester-based Luna Marble describes themselves as a contemporary classic rock band inspired by the blues and psychedelia of the 1970s. With supercharged stadium-ready tunes, the band marries its anthemic choruses with ethereal textures and enchanting melodies, taking this well-loved genre to its own territory. The band has been compared to acts like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Rival Sons, and Soundgarden. 'Sea of Sorrow' is Luna Marble’s second single ahead of their debut album. 'Sea Of Sorrow' is a dynamic classic rock offering, from its broody, hard-hitting verses to uplifting choruses with varied and delightful vocals that soar throughout. It's accompanied by charming swagger aided by slick guitar work and melodies. It's a very textured, deep track that conveys the struggle of being stuck, wanting to take matters into your own hands, and getting lost in that process, with the sound matching this ebb and flow of emotions. So d...

THEM DAMN KINGS started as a one-man hard rock machine created by New Jersey, USA native, guitarist/multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Jef Rhodes. Jef is a long-time professional Front Of House engineer and backline tech who has over two decades of international touring experience with such bands as Lacuna Coil, Opeth, Cradle of Filth, Highly Suspect, Watain, Mayhem, and others. By enlisting former Lacuna Coil drummer Ryan Blake Folden, the pair have recorded “Rise Up”, a monster of a debut album that sounds both new and exciting – while simultaneously reminding listeners of that golden age of the early ‘90s when hard rock, metal, and grunge ruled the late night rock clubs of the world. The album "Rise Up" was unleashed in September 2022. The song is  inspired by Scott Phillips’s novel ‘The Ice Harvest’, with the twists and turns you’d expect from a gangster crime story. LIVE REVIEW: Guns N' Roses - Hyde Park, London UK 30/6/23

Guns N' Roses, one of the biggest rock bands in the world, played to 60,000 fans at the sold-out BST Hyde Park London event that they were headlining on Friday the 30th of June and what a night to remember. The BST event had a great festival vibe with food and drink vendors galore and is the perfect setting for hosting massive music events in the revered Hyde Park. The amount of Gun N' Roses t-shirts amongst the crowds was impressive. Although expected as the headliners, it was still a sight to behold with all ages donned in merch; all united and there for the same reason. Typical British weather, although it's recently been extremely sunny and hot. The day saw a cloudy and drizzly display, but that didn't spoil things for the fans or the band. Before Gun N' Roses even came on the stage, the set-up was impressive, which helped build up the hype, and then the band came out right on time at 7.20 pm easing everyone in with "It's So Easy" and followed up...

Album Review - Rook Road (Self-Titled)

Rook Road was formed in 2020 and brings the nostalgic rock vibes of the 70s to their sound but with a modern flair which they describe as diversity rock. Their self-titled debut album is a gleaming example of this and is a worthwhile and fun journey. The opener, 'Talk Too Much', is a brilliant attitude-packed track that hits hard with its swagger, making for a great one to kick off with and 'Sick To The Bone' follows and keeps momentum high with its strong, catchy melodies. 'Sometimes' changes the place up, as it's a slower ballad, but it's equally as powerful as their faster tempo tracks and executed brilliantly, being smooth and rich. 'Kindo Glow' is groovy and alarming in a great way, with the Hammond organ driving the track, and it is hard to resist its charm and melody. 'Celebrations (Feels Like)' opens with striking organs, and some soulful yet strong vocals make an effective combo. It is a must-hear track that sums up their sound...

REVIEW: Scruffy Bear - 'Face The Rain' EP

North Yorkshire Fuzz Rock quartet Scruffy Bear boasts a strong, diverse, and exciting sound, which their new EP ‘Face The Rain’ asserts. The opening bluesy rock ‘Stories Of Strange Women’ is uplifting and empowering. Vocalist Georgy Eaton delivers commanding and powerful, loud vocals about listening to your spirit and not driving yourself mad. A great gripping, groovy and melodic track to reel you in. ‘Magic At Our Fingertips’ is more mellow and laid back but hits hard with heavy riffs and a thunderous chorus. Georgy’s vocal style and delivery are varied, and the whole track keeps you on your toes. This song about climate change also features a very slick and soulful instrumental section and an impressive fuzzy solo. The striking ‘Blackmoss’ is an immediate high impact track with great bass, swagger and style brimming throughout, and Georgy gives it all as expected on vocals. This is a tremendous free-spirited, energetic rock track. The final song, ‘Solace’ has a 70s blues-rock v...

REVIEW: Swamp Thief - 'I' (EP)

Swamp Thief are a heavy rock duo from Swansea, South Wales, consisting of Simon Bevan (Vocal/Guitars/Bass) and Marc Lockwood on Drums. They have unleashed their debut EP titled 'I' made up of four tracks. First track ‘Mary’ gets things off to an explosive start with hard heavy-hitting drums and insane guitar tones which is melodic throughout. They make a lot of sound for a duo, and this first offering is well-blended and gets you hooked. ‘Whip Hand’ shows more gritty colossal guitars with heavy distortion with clean and powerful vocals, making for a great combination. They display their talent wonderfully, and the track ends on tremendous down beat sludginess. ‘Maelstrom Queen‘ takes a different more subtle progressive approach before unleashing its full force, with full-on crunchy groovy riffs in the longest offering. It features massive all surrounding vocals which all tracks do and is very well executed and produced to aid their huge sound. It is the most diverse and chall...

Broken Notions are a young alternative rock band from Scotland who incorporate elements of punk and grunge in the mix also to create a unique sound which they describe as 'the soundtrack to moments of bleak contentment'. 'The Warmth Of You' is an unusual and conflicting single, as one moment it offers high pitched light vocals and fuzzy instruments and the next it is fiercer angry vocals to aid the lyrical context which help signify our human vulnerabilities and inner struggles. The song portrays this wonderfully and intelligibly with its dynamic sound and delivery and makes quite the impact. The band describe and offer some insight into the song: "It's a very d...
