Going full speed into summer, The Offspring have released another killer track off of their highly anticipated new album SUPERCHARGED, out 11th October 2024 via Concord Records, aptly named “Light It Up.” Listen to “Light It Up” HERE On the new track Dexter Holland commented: “This song is a full speed ahead juggernaut! This character in the song is fed up, he's had enough, and he’s gonna light it up. He’s ready for a fight. And I definitely sense a lot of that around me. Growing up, some of my favorite songs were by punk bands that were just like, “I'm sick of your shit.” And that was ok! It wasn’t like a negative thing to have those feelings and express that. And I think that's kind of the vibe of where “Light It Up” is: You're fed up, you've had it and you want to do something about it. That’s one of things I've always loved about punk rock. It’s always been about letting out your aggressions, and I think that’s still true. I still love writing songs ...

Raleigh Groove Metal WoR Cover The Offspring’s “Come Out And Play”

WoR, groove metal hailing from Raleigh, USA unleashed their debut album “Prisoners” on August 7th of this year via Bungalo Records/Universal. On the full length, the band takes a grinding chainsaw with a pummeling battering ram to pulverize a heavy cover version of one of The Offspring‘s most beloved tracks “Come and Out Play”, which the band is sharing today with a streaming visualizer below. The band comments on covering the track: “We chose this iconic song for its energy, attitude, and lyrical message. We felt it spoke to the overall theme of our album, which discusses similar topics such as rebellion, anger, and rage. Throwing in elemen...
