MATTHEW CARROLL Debut Album “LEFT TO BURN” Out Now

MATTHEW CARROL, the Birmingham, AL singer and songwriter has released his debut album Left To Burn on the 1st February. The video for the first single “Heart Of Fire” can be viewed at this location: https://youtu.be/V0wYPhErTJQ The album is a mix of 90s influenced Alternative Rock and high-energy indie pop. Carroll brought together some of the best talent in the south east to play on this record and put in the work to make an album he could be proud of. A full year of writing and demoing songs to find the authentic voice for each song has led him to an album with no filler. Every song has been carefully crafted, torn down, and reforged until Matthew was happy with them. A painstaking process that started with over 200 original songs was narrowed down to the 12 tracks that are featured. For a decade, Carroll has performed all over the country honing his skills as a performer. When he had a health scare that could have taken his singing voice away forever, he decided he could...

NEW MUSIC: Murmur Tooth - The Room EP Review

Berlin based Brit trio have just released a new EP, titled 'The Room', having only formed earlier this year by Leah Hinton (Guitars/Vocals) of innovative metal band, El Schlong. Again this isn't a standard rock sound, as they have blended grunge and pop to give them an unique edge, with a hint of grimy bleakness and a dash of beautiful lightness, to keep everyone happy or sad, whichever you prefer... Opening song, 'Knees Are Clean' is a tense shiny grunge tune, and quickly asserts their unusual sound, making a good first impression, especially with varied vocals and dynamic melodic instruments with a gritty fuzzy feel. The short creepy 'Bumps' sounds more downbeat and unhinged with memorable dark toned guitars, and again hard hitting vocal harmonies, and shows off their changeable mood swings. 'And I Wait' is a perfect balance of dark and light. It has drawn out effective vocals and one of the best stand out chorus's so far, along with d...

Benjamin Teacher - MindsEye (Debut) Album Review

Benjamin Teacher is a multi talented musician, singer, songwriter, street performer and producer from London, who has been noticed by the likes of Billy Sherwood, Lady Gaga and Vince DiCola (Rocky, Transformers The Movie Soundtracks) and here in his debut he showcases his talents and passion in his own unique style..let us journey into his 'mind's eye'... Opening song, 'Stratmosphere' has an air of positivity about it and Benjamin show's off his many talents as everything you hear is done by him..he shows his guitar skills further in the instrumental atmospheric track, 'Welcome To The Galaxy' - I always enjoy a instrumental - well a good one! I think its a true test of musicianship if it can stand alone without the focus of vocals, as the instruments have to be melodic and stand out perhaps more to keep the attention of the listener..and that's just what he does! The short but sweet, "Venus Loves Jupiter" graces us with an elegant key...
