Prog/Ambient Metallers 'Vrona' Announce 2 New Tracks & The Addition Of A Vocalist!

Vrona Announce New Songs With Addition Of Vocalist Within a year of their inception, Vrona had already performed at Bloodstock and Mammothfest, and shared stages with the likes of Dorje, Cambion, The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing and more. Their first EP 'A Lapse In Time' released in early 2016 gained them critical acclaim with their instrumental offerings being compared to a vocal-less mix of Karnivool, TesseracT and Tool. 2017 sees a marked change in the band as they release two new tracks on October 25th and unveil a new twist to their ever evolving sound - the introduction of vocalist Jamie Ball. The two track release entitled 'Impermanence' still showcases Vrona's brand of progressive ambient metal. However, the addition of vocals, and the acceptance of more outside influences into their melting pot shows that the band are not afraid to change things up. To celebrate this new direction the band head out on tour in October/Novembe...

King Leviathan - The Shrine EP Review

King Leviathan are a four piece thrash band from Brighton obsessed with the occult, and having only been together just over a year, they are quickly building their campaign of followers and stamping their mark into Brighton’s ever growing music scene! With their memorable brutal live shows, including performing at Brighton’s very own metal festival, Mammothfest, and the impressive accolade of being main support for Darkest Hour! This young band in both age and formation have accomplished a lot already, and they return with their follow up to their debut with new EP, ‘The Shrine’ ready to conquer.. First song, ‘Wormwood’ gets off to a blistering start with powerful striking vocals and insane guitar work. This embraces modern and classic thrash, in an melodic manner which will wiggle and rive in your mind and introduces their style and context for the EP wonderfully... ‘Born Of The Blackest Hearts’ boasts demanding vocals and colossal instrumentation, this is one dark beastly off...

Mammothfest is back: Bigger, Darker and Louder than ever!! It will have a massive impact! After two successful MammothFest event's and the comeback of festival in 2014 after a four year break, MammothFest show they mean serious business and unlike most festivals, they don't keep you waiting long, as they have generously and epically decided to release not just the headline bands for the three day event, but the whole bloody line-up!! Although in keeping with the festive spirit they did decide to do a 12 day of Christmas annoucement, giving a band a day, so some bands will already be known. The line-up spans from bands from all round the world to local champions and returning crowd pleasers from previous MammothFest's, which includes Meta-Stasis, Malefice, Core Of iO, Abhorrent Decimation and Stone Circle (who can proudly say they have been on every MammothFest bill so far!) Stone Circle - Self Titled Album Review

Intelligible progressive metallers from Brighton release their sophomore self-titled album through Terrorizer magazine, which can be picked up for free with the latest issue, as well as being available through the usual music outlets, such as Spotify, iTunes and Google Store. Although on the face of it, seven songs doesn’t seem much, believe me when I say they cram a lot in to each and every song, in the best way possible!.. Opening song `Beekeeper’ chugs to life with demonic vocals, intricate dynamic guitars and a hell of a lot of ethereal atmospheric vibes – you could say this is a ‘buzz’ worthy opening that will take you through a musical exploration and will leave a ‘sting’, especially with the shift half way through taking a more darker turn, as well introducing powerful clean vocals which help give more depth and emphasis. There are many elements and transitions here, but it is executed with such precision and style making it flow and remain coherent... ‘Easter I...

Abhorrent Decimation Interview

London based, Abhorrent Decimation are fairly new to UK metal scene only forming back in 2013, but already they are creating quite an impact with their debut EP, 'Infected Celestial Utopia' and have been added to the line up of the rebirth of Brighton's metal Festival, MammothFest, with this coming up I caught up with vocalist, Ashley Scott in advance to talk about it, amongst other things.. As you only formed last year you have currently only released your debut EP, 'Infected Celestial Utopia', but what has the reaction been like so far for this release? GREAT! We are really pleased with the response to our debut release. Our intention was always to grow from home outwards, work hard on the spreading the name and get the product out into the hands of fans and the UK has certainly received it well. We consistently deliver a brutal performance live and people have seemed to really catch onto what we are aiming for and trying to achieve here....
