REVIEW: Blame The Sacred – 'The Path' EP

Blame The Sacred, a 5-piece rock band from Doncaster, South Yorkshire are set to release their new EP 'The Path' on March 27th 2020 which follows their 2018 debut EP 'Life Or Death'. ‘I Walk Alone’ has catchy driving riffs to open it with swaggering vocals and instruments to accompany. Vocalist Danny Porter has very authoritative vocals that add extra power to this hard-hitting opener, making for a brilliant start. Changing direction ‘Hollow Ground’ is largely stripped back with melodic guitars with softer emotive vocals. Although it is slower-paced it is equally as strong especially through its passion and execution adding more depth. ‘Home’ picks up the pace again with crunchy guitars and seriously melodic riffs and beats, delivering a heavy slab of fine rock that will get you moving with its great grooves. There is no shortage of energy and enthusiasm from the whole band which translates wonderfully in their music and all members get their moment to sh

REVIEW: The Self Titled – 'Bear and Bulls' EP

The Self Titled are a heavy rock/metal quartet from Kent, UK. They released their latest EP 'Bear and Bulls' last year in 2019 which encompasses many rock elements. Opener and title track ‘Bears and Bulls’ has a nice variety of vocals ranging from spoken rap to strong clean melodic ones and the instruments are equally as unpredictable and exciting. This exudes swagger and features great tones and distortion throughout adding to this massive sound. This is an intriguing start that leaves you eager to hear more and manages to pack a lot in before it ends. ‘Breathe Mix’ follows with assertive riffs and drums before soaring guitars really kick things off. It is faster-paced than the opener and makes for a fun motivating mosh rock track that will make you want to move especially with its Rage Against The Machine vibes present again. 'Disintegration' offers up a heavier darker metal inspired track with some nice distorted riffs and a different vocal style once mo

IRIST unleash official video for new single 'Creation'

Breakout Southern metal band IRIST will release their massively anticipated debut album, Order of the Mind, next Friday, March 27th with Nuclear Blast. In a much-needed distraction, the band has delivered a colossal new single, 'Creation', and accompanying video that can be viewed here: youtu.be/q1w8B22JIiw Although their record release show was cancelled due to COVID-19, IRIST’s new video for 'Creation' gives fans a taste of their incendiary live performance. Director Dan Almasy beautifully captures the song’s introspective spirit and powerful energy. “‘Creation' is an upbeat song on the surface, but it’s also meant to be meditative”, says guitarist Pablo Davila. “I think it somehow conveys a subtle “otherworldliness” that’s not easy to express. Dan Almasy did a great job of interpreting that vibe for us in this music video.” Digging in further, the lyrical concept of 'Creation' is a profound exercise in self-reflection that peels away at the laye

What a sorry state we, the civilization on planet Earth, are in. Everyone everywhere feels it this time. For a lot of us, this has already become a personal issue in the worst possible ways. For my part, I’m just grateful that my lady got back to me from the other side of the world in time. There’s a trusted hand to hold in this isolation. I was lucky. Patience, courage, strength & love to all. Marko. And here’s one more live video from Z7, Pratteln, Switzerland. This one’s 'For You'

DIAMONDS ON NEPTUNE Release Single 'Erase'

Diamonds On Neptune have their next single to unleash, ‘Erase’, a track that is much more aggressive and is a knockout punch compared to their previous song ‘Catawampus’ released this past December. A fusion of genres, adding elements that can be recognized and interpreted in many ways, Diamonds On Neptune shuns sonic consistency and embraces sounds that paint a picture of an experience or a sensation that ranges all emotions; fear, anger, paranoia, euphoria, pride, and acceptance. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly where they stand, but fans of A Day to Remember, Cane Hill, Billy Talent, and Avenged Sevenfold are sure to take a liking to them. The band comments: “This one is a rager, it’s unhinged and animalistic. There is less of a message we are trying to push here and more of a sensation, we hope the crowd will let loose and that chaos will ensue. We get asked about this one a lot and we are very excited to finally be putting it out there.” Listen to ‘Erase’ HERE  or below:

The video will be available via this link on the 20th March or below:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0c8VWjZfms&feature=youtu.be&goal=0_4722c36409-77e0532399-85731087&mc_cid=77e0532399&mc_eid=b02e9ed394 "Draining by your flame" is about waking up to the situation where the never-ending party has turned a bit sour, and the toll of self-indulgence is getting way too costly. I feel like the actions of surprisingly many of my close friends have taken a turn into a lot worse in recent years, and this has forced me to harshly reconsider my relationship with intoxicating substances, my way of taking responsibility and setting an example. In the lyrics of the song the final decision towards recovery is being made thanks to that one person who against all odds has st

Halifax’s TURBO Kick Nitro Rock Into Full Gear with Single ‘Alive’

Cruising in from the Canadian Maritimes is TURBO, brandishing their signature brand of potent “Nitro-Rock”. To introduce this onslaught of riffs and madness to the world, they are releasing their debut album “Fast As Fvck” later this year and kicking the party off with the single ‘Alive’. Between them, the members of TURBO have played every loud-music genre there is to name and these experiences have worked together to shape the current sound with an emphasis on rock and punk. These genres formed the base for their planned debut full length, which TURBO explains in their own words: “Fast as Fvck is a sort of homage to true rock and roll in its most vicious and visceral form. Each of the seven tracks hit like a swift kick to the teeth from a whole new angle of attack, but the assault is far from a mindless battering to the eardrums. The album ebbs and flows through different moods and subtleties with sophisticated craftsmanship.” Coined as a gateway drug into the gritty rock-

REVIEW: Black Roze - 'Spiritual Hell'

Black Roze is a quintet from Kent, UK who incorporate many rock genres into their sound, giving them an interesting and appealing blend and their debut full-length album 'Spiritual Hell' highlights this perfectly. Opener ‘Obscenity’ is extremely melodic throughout with an especially memorable chorus. This is a great way to open as it leaves you wanting more of this raw and exciting sound and singer Vixen soothes you with her pleasing vocals. 'Godz N Queenz' is heavier and far more sleazy but in a gritty and brilliant way, with catchy hooks and attitude packed vocals from vocalist Viixen who gets to show her diversity – this is a fun and hard-hitting track. ‘Soul On Fire’ is a fiery slow burner which appropriately features a lot of soul, especially through Vixen’s beautiful vulnerable vocals. This is very powerful and soaring, with ambient and bluesy guitars throughout. Towards the end, there is a great transition as it picks up the pace whilst remaining c

REVIEW: Molly Karloff – Supernaturalation EP

Molly Karloff is a hard rock/metal groove trio from Oxford/London who have just unleashed their latest offering in the form of their 'Supernaturalation' EP. First up is the title track, 'Supernaturalation' which is hard-hitting with driving riffs to open and continues throughout. It is packed with attitude and angst, making it an infectious straight-up hard rock anthem featuring a swaggering slick solo to top it off, this is a  s trong and memorable start to the EP. Latest single ‘She said’ again pulls you in immediately with its crushing riffs. This is slower paced than the opener but equally as powerful as it is soaring and well-constructed with another stylish solo highlighting the band's capabilities. ‘Do You Wanna?’ is a no-nonsense fast pace energetic track with passionate lively vocals and will make you want to headbang and singalong. ‘Do It Again’ follows and is packed with melody, catchy hooks and fiery vocals in what is their darkest musically a
