Rock Trio WEAK13 Release New Viking Style Video For 'Loyal Coward' On January 13th

British independent band WEAK13 have released the 'Loyal Coward' music video set in the Viking Age today (January   13th  2018) featuring the  Svartland Living History Society.  who hail from  Wolverley, near Kidderminster . Their latest music video, taken from their album 'They Live', is definitely the most commercial sounding WEAK13 song to date but nothing is ever quite what it seems in regards to how the band functions. Normally a WEAK13 tune is coa ted  in  semiotics, subliminal messages or loud subtext but the first glance of 'Loyal Coward' appears surprisingl y  landmine free , extremely mainstream and very radio friendly. Whilst on the surface it appears as if this is them selling out it's more than likely that this a clever rouse rather than a U-Turn but are they really playing with people's minds? WEAK13 is one of the most influential British DIY bands since the millennium age. Always inspiring fresh upcoming bands with the...

REVIEW: Vrona - Impermanence (Prog Metal)

Prog metallers, Vrona released their debut EP 'A Lapse In Time' last year which received positive press and even led to them being compared to the likes of heavyweights Karnivool, TesseracT and Tool, minus the vocals, as in 2016 they were an instrumental act. Now in 2017, they are back, not only with a new two-track release titled 'Impermanence' but they have also unveiled and added an extra dimension to their already massive sound with the introduction of a vocalist Jamie Ball. The main title track 'Impermanence' is ambient and textured. The vocals are pleasant, captivating and varied which immediately gives them a different feel and layer, proving that adding vocalist Jamie was a wise move. It features soaring and powerful moments throughout. The fact that they now have vocals doesn't overpower the well crafted and intelligible instruments either but only acts as the perfect unison, with both complimenting each other wonderfully. They are all impr...

Recently, the band has signed to metal label, Sliptrick Records, who will release the quartet's debut EP, 'Insurrection' on October 31st, which was recorded at Initiate Audio & Media by Neil Hudson (Krysthla/Gutworm). Formed in 2015, Haema encapsulates the essence of modern metal that likes to combine various styles of heavy music together. The four-piece hones in the heaviness and ferocity of groove metal, providing the crunchiest of hooks. This is balanced out by the infectiously catchy hooks reminiscent of the nu metal scene in the early 2000s. All the while topped off by a layer of electronic sounds and machine gun like precision found in industrial.
