NORTH ATLAS Release New Single 'Dead Tree'

From wild, remote Scotland, North Atlas combine imagery from their Celtic pagan roots with a dynamic industrial rock sound. Fresh from their ‘Heathen Underground’ headline UK Tour, they have just released new single ‘Dead Tree’ which marks the beginning of a new era for the band and is the follow up to their 2023 EP ‘The Longest Shadow Attached To The Ankle’. The single has already received the acclaim of being featured as BBC R1 Track of the Week on Introducing Rock with Alyx Holcombe who said: “definitely my favourite era of this band yet”. ‘Dead Tree’ began with two brothers sequestered off-grid in Scotland, inspiring a song about the human psyche, written surrounded by their Celtic roots & the perilous beauty of nature. Their live shows have captured audiences across the UK with an athletic complement of performers energising stories of ancestral rituals. “‘Dead Tree’ is a song about being stuck in your own head, more specifically, stuck in the grey area in which your mor...

NORTH ATLAS RELEASE NEW TRACK ‘SOME KIND OF CIRCLE’

NORTH ATLAS have just released another new track which is taken from their forthcoming EP release ‘The Longest Shadow Attached To The Ankle’ out 22nd September. ‘Some Kind Of Circle’ is another dynamic delivery from the band that possesses you from the start, with their trademark thunderous drums, ghostly vocals and synths that draw you into a trance-like state. Sometimes we feel trapped by our own nature, breaking out means breaking out of yourself. This feeling is probably best observed at the uneasy lurch at the precipice of a change in your life.” Leon Hunt...

Following the release of standalone tracks ‘Seer’ and ‘fasterthanyourthoughts’ earlier this year, NORTH ATLAS have announced their new single ‘ Superego ’, along with a vibrant performance video. The Scottish fellowship often draw creative influence from the folklore of their homelands, whilst also touching on topics of a neurodivergent nature and deeper inward analysis, to create a blistering blend of hard rock and electronica drawing heavily from influences such as Biffy Clyro and Nine Inch Nails. See the video for ‘Superego’: “According to Freud, the Superego acts as our moral compass, what he calls the Id describes the drives for primal behaviour, while the regular Ego works to strike a balance between those two needs. The Superego strives for a sort of moral perfection, so I suppose that means there’s usually a cost for what you want. This song is about not paying for what you want by sacrificing your own values.” Leon Hunter - Vocals NORTH ATLAS have also announced their ...
