Forlorn Release ‘Sæl’ Cassette Tape + Unveil Live Session For ‘Erased’

  UK Pagan Metal outfit ‘Forlorn’ have today shared a limited edition exclusive cassette tape release titled ‘ Sæl ’ which is now available via Silent Cult. Forlorn, who blend folk horror and paganism to carve out their own brand of 'Midsommar Metal' have drawn closure to their recent seasonal cycle of singles with the offering of ‘ Sæl ’. Guitarist, Edd Kerton shared the following statement - "This circle draws to a close as another prepares to open, we invite you to look back so you can prepare for what is yet to come." The 5 track tape includes recent singles ‘Hold Me’ and ‘The Weight Of It All’ as well as an exclusive live recording of their 2020 single ‘Erased’. Forlorn Release Halloween Single 'Hold Me'

  UK Pagan Metal outfit ‘Forlorn’ make their return with a defying new offering titled ‘Hold Me’ which is out now via Silent Cult. Forlorn blend folk horror and paganism to carve out their own brand of 'Midsommar Metal', while crafting a unique sound and visual identity. Produced by George Lever (Loathe, Sleep Token, Monuments) ‘Hold Me’ was written as a platonic love song, from a child to a parent, and addresses the subject of co-dependency, where a child bears witness to their parents' struggle with addiction. Accompanying the new single is a stunning music video that shows symbolism throughout that is symbiotic of family constellation. We see the honouring of ancestors passed through the building of the altar, a sense of community and tribe through the foraging scene and a feeling of strained family dynamics through the harvest feast scene.
