EXCLUSIVE FEATURE: Alfonso Conspiracy 5 Songs That Influenced Them

ALFONSO CONSPIRACY is fronted by talented multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Max James. With a debut album, 'The Explicit//The Exploited', set for release on Friday 5th December, we exclusively caught up with Max and asked him lay down the tracks that have shaped his fiery sound: Architects - These Colours Don’t Run "I don’t think the impact of this song and Architects in general can be understated with me growing up. I remember hearing this song when it came out and my older brother put it on and the creepy ambience, the soaring vocals, and of course the breakdown just changed the game for me. It was like a light went off in my head where I was like yeah this is what I love and this is what I do. It's so heavy but so haunting and I still am yet to hear a modern metal song that even slightly touches this." Nine Inch Nails - Reptile "Reptile, The Downward Spiral and Nine Inch Nails in general have massively shaped Alfonso Conspiracy since the day I hear...

Believe In Nothing announce debut album and release new single 'Gut'

Believe In Nothing is hands on, visceral and quite frankly disturbing. Be it their live performances where tension in the room is palpable, their blood, sweat and tears approach to creating art, or the fact their frontman rots pigs hearts in a box to convey their view of the dystopian world we live in, there is something about Believe In Nothing that will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. Formed in Eastbourne in 2023, the band brings together Caine Hemmingway (vocals/noise), Lawrence Rodriguez (guitar), Steve Collier (guitar), and Jasper Lyons (drums). With a history of playing in various heavy South Coast bands and having a dedicated DIY ethos, the members hit the ground running, sidestepping the usual growing pains of a new project and quickly locking into a vision of crushing, apocalyptic sonic ritual. An unofficial live debut came in early 2024: An unplanned set at The Eagle pub in Eastbourne after another band went AWOL. With no songs written, they played...

EXCLUSIVE FEATURE - Perpetual Paradox's 5 Songs That Inspired Their Debut Album 'Deathwish'

With their seismic debut album 'Deathwish' dropping Friday, 27th June, and a pummeling new single and video 'Backbone Of Existence' landing this week (see video below), PERPETUAL PARADOX are set to dominate the modern metal landscape. Forged in fury and driven by defiance, the band’s brand of heavyweight riffage and sonic hostility is impossible to ignore. We exclusively caught up with the Paradox crew as they gear up to unleash chaos, and they let us in on the tracks that have defined, inspired, and fueled 'Deathwish'. Ollie Miles (Lead Guitar): Bleed from Within - 'I am Damnation':    "I just love BFW, and this opener on their Shrine album is them at their best. The riffs are so catchy, and that middle interlude right before the outro, which is just a few lead notes on guitar, but placed so perfectly, ties it all together amazingly well. It's a style of dynamic I tried to emulate when writing for this album." Jorge Nuñes (Rhythm Guit...

SINGLE REVIEW: Luna Marble - 'Sea Of Sorrow'

Formed in 2020, Manchester-based Luna Marble describes themselves as a contemporary classic rock band inspired by the blues and psychedelia of the 1970s. With supercharged stadium-ready tunes, the band marries its anthemic choruses with ethereal textures and enchanting melodies, taking this well-loved genre to its own territory. The band has been compared to acts like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Rival Sons, and Soundgarden. 'Sea of Sorrow' is Luna Marble’s second single ahead of their debut album. 'Sea Of Sorrow' is a dynamic classic rock offering, from its broody, hard-hitting verses to uplifting choruses with varied and delightful vocals that soar throughout. It's accompanied by charming swagger aided by slick guitar work and melodies. It's a very textured, deep track that conveys the struggle of being stuck, wanting to take matters into your own hands, and getting lost in that process, with the sound matching this ebb and flow of emotions. So d...
