German stoner trio MOTHER ENGINE sign to Heavy Psych Sounds!

Mother Engine Sign With Heavy Psych Sounds European riff powerhouse Heavy Psych Sounds added one more gem to their brilliant roster today, with the signing of German stoner/psych rock craftsmen MOTHER ENGINE for their third album to be released this fall. Stay tuned for more tunes! MOTHER ENGINE plays instrumental rock music influenced by stoner and post-rock as well as the trippy psychedelic rock of the 60s and 70s, and indigenous German krautrock. It's no real surprise that the journey of that spaceship actually began on the stage of a big German stoner rock festival in the year 2013. What we talk about is a spirit of DIY, uncompromising endurance, and the strong will to play every single stage. After two records ("Muttermaschine" in 2013 and '"Absturz" in 2015) and appearances at some of the most important stoner festivals like Stoned from the Underground, Freak Valley Festival, Sonic Blast Moledo, Into the Void or Rotormania, it seems like they go...

MONSTER MAGNET release re-issues of "Tab" and "Spine Of God"!

photo credit: Jeremy Saffer Monster Magnet Release Re-issues Of Classic Albums "Tab" and "Spine Of God" 1989 marks the year of birth of New Jersey's spacerock legends MONSTER MAGNET. Three years after their first EP on Glitterhouse, the band released their official debut album "Spine Of God" on Caroline Records, which became a full on genre classic literally in an instant. The original debut album "Tab” was recorded a year earlier then “Spine of God", but only saw the light of day because of the overwhelming success of its actual successor. The drug hazed heavy sound of both releases helped in cementing MONSTER MAGNET's reputation of being the only legit descendants of the likes of psychedelic and stoner rock Godfathers Hawkwind, Black Sabbath, and their electrifying punk siblings in MC5. Following those groundbreaking records, the band centered around charismatic master mind Dave Wyndorf went on to issue their first major label r...

Stone Circle - Self Titled Album Review

Intelligible progressive metallers from Brighton release their sophomore self-titled album through Terrorizer magazine, which can be picked up for free with the latest issue, as well as being available through the usual music outlets, such as Spotify, iTunes and Google Store. Although on the face of it, seven songs doesn’t seem much, believe me when I say they cram a lot in to each and every song, in the best way possible!.. Opening song `Beekeeper’ chugs to life with demonic vocals, intricate dynamic guitars and a hell of a lot of ethereal atmospheric vibes – you could say this is a ‘buzz’ worthy opening that will take you through a musical exploration and will leave a ‘sting’, especially with the shift half way through taking a more darker turn, as well introducing powerful clean vocals which help give more depth and emphasis. There are many elements and transitions here, but it is executed with such precision and style making it flow and remain coherent... ‘Easter I...
