REVIEW: Swamp Thief - 'I' (EP)

Swamp Thief are a heavy rock duo from Swansea, South Wales, consisting of Simon Bevan (Vocal/Guitars/Bass) and Marc Lockwood on Drums. They have unleashed their debut EP titled 'I' made up of four tracks. First track ‘Mary’ gets things off to an explosive start with hard heavy-hitting drums and insane guitar tones which is melodic throughout. They make a lot of sound for a duo, and this first offering is well-blended and gets you hooked. ‘Whip Hand’ shows more gritty colossal guitars with heavy distortion with clean and powerful vocals, making for a great combination. They display their talent wonderfully, and the track ends on tremendous down beat sludginess. ‘Maelstrom Queen‘ takes a different more subtle progressive approach before unleashing its full force, with full-on crunchy groovy riffs in the longest offering. It features massive all surrounding vocals which all tracks do and is very well executed and produced to aid their huge sound. It is the most diverse and chall...

ELECTRIC WIZARD Premiere Video 'See You In Hell'

ELECTRIC WIZARD Release New Video - New Album 'Wizard Bloody Wizard' Out November 10th UK cult legends ELECTRIC WIZARD have released the video for the new song ‘See You in Hell,’ which singer/guitarist Jus Osborn called ”the most brutally simple and Neanderthal song ever." Watch and listen here: https://www.vevo.com/watch/electric-wizard/see-you-in-hell/GBUV71701418 The song appears on Wizard Bloody Wizard , the long-anticipated new LP, which is full of cranium-crushing bludgeon rock — a relentless aural brain rape and, like the band's beloved vintage horror/exploitation movies, definitely not for those of a nervous disposition. Wizard Bloody Wizard arrives via Witchfinder/Spinefarm on November 10. T-shirt, pin, poster, patch and cassette bundles are available HERE . Monolord Share Title Track 'Rust' From Upcoming Album

Monolord Release Single And Title Track 'Rust' From New Album Out September 29th Gothenburg, Sweden trio Monolord share the title track and details on their highly anticipated third album Rust. The song features John Gamino (Mondo Drag) on keyboards and Trevor Church (Beastmaker) playing a guitar solo at the end of the tune.  Hear and share “Rust” via YouTube and Bandcamp. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YX4HwEAF_Eo https://monolord.bandcamp.com Monolord is a rare breed: A band both encompassing and transcending genre; a vortex of heavy rock density that consumes all others. Their thunderous, tuneful heft has built a rabid international fanbase in short order since their 2014 debut. But Rust, the band’s third full length, truly exemplifies why some refer to them as the Nirvana of doom. Monolord’s enveloping, syrupy sludge is a vibe, it’s a state of mind. Not riffs for riffs sake, but a collective buzzing, rattling and rumbling that’s more total environment than coll...
