DANKO JONES Release  New Single 'You Are My Woman' On September 15th

DANKO JONES release their new single 'You Are My Woman' on September 15th.

With the previous single and first taken from new album Wild Cat, 'My Little RnR' amassing serious airplay across the world, including being A listed on Planet Rock for several weeks, we're expecting great things from the new and rather fabulous 'You Are My Woman'!

Danko Jones announce new single, new book and new podcast, along with Scandinavian tour this fall.

Toronto-based frontman Danko Jones has been singing and playing guitar in his eponymously named rock band for the last 20 years. In that time, his band has played in 37 countries on 6 continents and released 11 albums. He has been writing for various rock publications around the world since 2005 and joined the KISS Army when he was 6.

Danko’s latest album Wild Cat came out in March 2017 and the first single, 'My Little RNR', received massive airplay all over the world, peaking at an impressive #6 at Rock Radio in Canada and it also charted at radio in various European territories. Danko was also featured as a guest vocalist on 'BlackRose', Volbeat’s smash hit that made it all the way to #1 on US Rock Radio in June. Their second single from Wild Cat, 'You Are My Woman', due for release on September 15th is an extremely infectious and loving ode to Thin Lizzy coated with Danko’s signature sound.

When Danko’s not playing hard rock music, he finds other ways to express himself - writing for various rock magazines and doing podcasts. In his upcoming book, 'I’ve Got Something To Say' (Feral House, spring 2018), he has collected his favourite articles from the past 10 years. Whether it’s selling Johnny Cash a Nirvana record, singing onstage with Motörhead or writing Neil Peart a fan letter, Danko has been on both sides of the rock n’ roll curtain for decades, which gives his writing another dimension altogether. The book features colourful illustrations from Gary Dumm (American Splendor), Mary Fleener (Slutburger), Michel “Away” Langevin (Voivod), Eerie Von (Danzig, Samhain), Brian Walsby (Manchild) and more.

About 'I’ve Got Something To Say':
“Not just a must-read for fans, but a true 'peek under the hood' of the hardest working man in Canadian rock, who turns out to be a surprisingly regular guy. Taken one at a time, these pieces are angry, ironic, and laugh-out-loud funny. Yet together, they make up a fascinatingly accessible answer to the question, ‘What makes a person choose a life in rock and roll?”
- Gordon Korman, author

“Danko's creativity, genius and wit shine through his writing just as strongly as his music. Whether it's death metal or how to serve a burger, the opinions are intense and hilarious, and the enthusiasm is infectious!”
- Sean Yseult, bassist for White Zombie, author of I’m In The Band

As a podcast host, Danko has produced 157 episodes of the Official (and highly acclaimed) Danko Jones podcast and earlier this month he started his second podcast endeavour, The Reagal Beagle, dedicated to the best television show in history - Three’s Company. Each week, Danko invites a guest to talk about an episode in chronological order.

The band is in the process of wrapping up the festival season and has a few more shows to go in September. After that they return to European soil in November for an extensive Scandinavian tour. More tour dates will be announced shortly.

REVIEW: Bobaflex - Eloquent Demons

Hard Rockers Bobaflex from West Virginian are back to wreak havoc with their eighth album ‘Eloquent Demons’ which is the follow to 2015’s ‘Anything That Moves’, this sees not only their first release through Thermal Entertainment but their first actual label release in a while after the band decided to go independent. They are a very hardworking and tireless band, having extensively toured, and even setting records for this, they certainly don’t do anything by half measures.
The opening intro and title track sounds very appropriately evil, with a creepy intro speech to set the scene whilst we wait for the demons to be fully unleashed…
First proper track ‘I Am Nightmare’ immediately sees heavy dark guitars and melodic group singing, which give it a classic feel with a gritty edge and is possesses a hell of a powerful chorus, not to mention a killer solo – this will be hard to forget.
Keeping the momentum going is ‘Long Time Coming’ which is equally as hard-hitting, with groove ridden and…

REVIEW: Vrona - Impermanence (Prog Metal)

Prog metallers, Vrona released their debut EP 'A Lapse In Time' last year which received positive press and even led to them being compared to the likes of heavyweights Karnivool, TesseracT and Tool, minus the vocals, as in 2016 they were an instrumental act. Now in 2017, they are back, not only with a new two-track release titled 'Impermanence' but they have also unveiled and added an extra dimension to their already massive sound with the introduction of a vocalist Jamie Ball.

The main title track 'Impermanence' is ambient and textured. The vocals are pleasant, captivating and varied which immediately gives them a different feel and layer, proving that adding vocalist Jamie was a wise move. It features soaring and powerful moments throughout. The fact that they now have vocals doesn't overpower the well crafted and intelligible instruments either but only acts as the perfect unison, with both complimenting each other wonderfully. They are all impressive mu…
