Electronic rockers Weesp - Exclusive New Song and New Live Videos!

Exclusive New Song Reveal and New Live Videos!

Electronic alt rockers from Minsk, Belarus formed back in 2008 and have been making a mark in the rock scene ever since with their unique exciting spacey ambient rock, which goes down a storm live too, and as a result they have grown a reputation for their dynamic performances, which includes festivals in Belarus, Russia and Poland.

They released their stunning debut 'The Void' in 2015 which is their heaviest and most experimental work to date and featured the single, ‘Solar Empire’, with brilliant guest vocals from Cory Brandan of Norma Jean.

They proved they are ones to watch and with such an established and solid debut their next release is highly anticipated and luckily the wait won't be long. As they have revealed to me and kindly provided an exclusive live look at a new yet to be titled song from their upcoming sophomore, to be named “Black Sails” which will be out at the end of the spring 2017. The band described the new release as "awesome heavy stuff with a touch of post-metal and a lot of atmospheric parts in it" - have a listen for yourself and see what you think:

If this new song reveal wasn't enough, they have been busy releasing some awesome videos that capture their core and their melodic talents. The first one is for “Beware the Blind Spots” from “The Void” taken live in Novopolotsk open air festival, that they headlined in autumn 2016.

And their final offering is a bit different for them and sees a different side, that although stripped back is highly enjoyable. Again taken from "The Void", its a live bass and drums playthrough of “Icarus Flight” filmed and recorded in our studio. So if you want to take a leaf out of their book and help create their sound have a watch and see if you can learn to play this great song!

I hope you enjoyed this exclusive from this fresh upcoming band Weesp!

Be sure to listen to their debut "The Void" plus all their past releases and videos:

To a rocking new year ahead!

Band-Maid MCM Comic Con Live Review/Feature - Fringe Festival 29/5/16

J-Rockers Band-Maid make first European performance at huge MCM Comic Con

Band-Maid, one of Japan’s up-and-coming all-girl rock acts, made their live debut to UK/Europe at MCM London Comic Con, which took place from 27-29th May 2016 at ExCel London, hosting the UK's biggest Modern Pop Culture Event.

The Tokyo quintet who formed in 2013, consisting of Miku (guitar/vocals), Saiki (vocals), Kanami (guitar), Akane (drums) and bassist Misa – have been building quite a reputation and fan-base all over with their blend of cute yet deadly rock music and stand out imagery (appropriately dressing as maids) whilst they unleash and deliver their seriously skilled and striking sounds. The concept of the maid outfit aesthetic stems from founder Miku’s experiences in the maid cafes of Akihabara – the Tokyo district known for otaku (‘geek’) culture and passion for rock music.

Through their music videos they have been reaping success and gaining well deserved attention, especially for the videos f…

REVIEW: Spreading The Disease - Insurrection

Modern metal quartet Spreading The Disease from Kent, UK formed in 2014 and then earlier this year in September 2017 they finally unleased their debut album ‘Insurrection’ which shows they are ready to infect metalheads and critics alike with their no-nonsense sounds…
Opening song ‘Find My Path’ starts with a melodic and resonant intro before fierce vocals come in with hard-hitting heavy guitars, it then goes on to feature an effective stripped back section towards the end which gives it extra depth. This is a powerful and strong start to the album.
‘Words Unspoken’ is a thumping tune with great rhythms and is very headbang worthy and incredibly catchy, keeping up the momentum is self-named track ‘Spreading The Disease’ which immediately pulls you in with catchy melodies and is all consuming with mighty riffs and a massive aggressive sound.
Latest single ‘Greed’ is frantic and driven and features some of the best guitarwork so far and again is very belligerent and is bound to get the mos…
