Danish post-hardcore trio THE DARKEST MOMENT have just released a video for new single ‘To An End’, feat. Timo Bonner of Our Mirage.
With hard-hitting, emotionally driven melodies and soaring choruses, accompanied by low-tuned instruments and expansive orchestral pieces, the trio deliver a new take on the modern sound brought forth by bands such as Bad Omens, Dayseeker and Sleep Token.

“'To An End' explores the feelings that follow 'Tragedy' and 'Sorrows', where the person reminisces on the past and how they felt during this tragic period of their life, and questioning if they'll ever feel like themselfves again. While it is a sad song with a somewhat depressing tone, we also attempted to really make it quite uplifting, because we know that in the end it is possible to grow stronger and overcome tragedy. We wanted to try a different approach to the song writing on this one, so we decided to write the lyrics and melodies as a back and forth between our usual vocals of Nico and the vocals of Timo (Our Mirage / Alleviate), who features on the song. It is our first time co-writing melodies like this with such a lovely and great singer, and the vocals really turned out much stronger because of it.”

About The Darkest Moment
Since forming, the trio has released a debut EP ‘Midnight’ (2018), their debut full-length album ‘The Darkest Moment’ (2019), including the single ‘Reality Stalling’ which gained more than 650k streams across platforms, later followed by the full-length album ‘Blindsight’ in 2021. In 2022 the band started writing and recording the new concept EP - themed around the loss of a loved one and the feelings that such a traumatic experience arises. Exploring these more sensitive subjects has brought a much more deep, dark, yet beautiful twist to the bands original sound, both lyrically and instrumentally. Produced, mixed and mastered by Timo Bonner (Our Mirage and Alleviate), THE DARKEST MOMENT is looking forward to presenting their new EP ‘Love & Loss’, set to be released in January 2024.
