MTROFEST Announces Full Line Up Saturday 13th April 2024

Continuing their efforts to LOUDLY COMBAT HOMELESSNESS and raise money for Shelter, UK Thrashers switch things up in 2024, taking a break from the annual compilation album that has so far raised over £6000 for the housing charity, 2024 will see the first Moshin’ The Roof On Festival…or MTROFEST for short!

Hosted by The Hairy Dog (Derby) The day will be stacked with some of the best underground thrash talent with 12 bands, on the one main stage with absolutely NO CLASHES at the ridiculous low price of just £12 (plus booking fee) for early bird ticket buyers!

We have already announced our festival headliners at the end of 2023, but for those that missed it Elimination will be bringing our day to a crushing end, with the other 3 bands announced – London 2022 M2TM winners Imperium, Sheffield Blackened Crossover from Sidewinder and London Underground favourites Fracture Point.

We can now reveal the other 8 bands making up the HUGE line up...

First Up we have added some Death/Thrash From London… Sawticide have a big underground following and we cant wait to unleash their technical thrash on the Derby crowd.
Chris from Sawticide say’s
"We’re excited to play MTROFEST with some sick bands. Glad to still be here supporting the cause."

We also add South West M2TM winners Mechanized into the mix, with a new album being planned these guys will be on FIRE ready to show the Midlands what Devon has to offer!

Our Welsh Dragons Madicide jump on the bill, after a hiatus the lads have been back for a couple of years rebuilding their fan base, blending some old tracks and new bangers like Tommy Knockers, the boys will be thrashing the Welsh Flag.

King Abyss are no strangers to Derby and we are stoked to welcome these aggressive thrashers onto MTROFEST, except bangers from last years outstanding release, and front man Dom demanding your interaction at front of stage!

Essex Thrashers Regicide head back to Derby post their outstanding performance at last years Alt Fest (chosen by you) and with a new album coming soon, you may get some new tracks thrown into the mix.. as well as check out new Drummer Jordan.

Niall From Regicide said:
"We're super excited to be playing MTROFEST this year! Especially at the iconic venue, The Hairy Dog. Let's make it heavy and get the pits brutal!"

And last but by no means least we welcome the Tri-Fecta!!! That’s right, Blacklist, Thrasherwolf and Hellfekted are all back supporting Moshin’ The Roof On, expect complete unadulterated thrash overload as all three bands have new albums due for release in 2024… are we going to see some new tracks from the triple threat? Here’s hoping so!! What we can guarantee is that they will all be bring their A game!!

Tyler From Blacklist said:
"We’re super excited to be a part of UK Thrashers Moshing The Roof On Fest. We’ve been a part of every compilation CD since Neil started doing them in 2020, so it just makes sense to carry on with the great cause by playing on this brilliant lineup!"

"As we have said previously, there is no compilation album this year, so this is the one shot to continue to help the homeless for 2024, and with 12 of the best UK underground thrash bands and a 500-capacity venue on our side… this could be the biggest year yet!"
