One Weekend, 2 stage, 36 Bands: Hammerdown Festival comes to Brighton this July!

Hammerdown Festival formed in 2014, and ran from 2015-2018 years before the covid pandemic. In 2022 the festival re-established itself, working over the next few years with names such as InMe, Skarlett Riot, South Of Salem, Esoterica, Thecityisours, Fort Hope and many more. After a successful year at Brighton's legendary Concorde 2 in 2024, the Hammerdown team decided to scale things up even further, moving the event to the 850 capacity Chalk, with a second stage opening for the first time, downstairs in brand new venue Dust.

Hammerdown has always prided itself on providing new, up and coming bands the opportunities to play on bigger stages alongside more established artists. For 2025, Hammerdown has brought NWOBHM legends Tygers Of Pan Tang and Demon to Brighton, alongside established contemporary bands like The Raven Age and Dream State. As well as this, the festival hosts other top talent such as Fort Hope, Raised By Owls, The Five Hundred, In Search Of Sun, Neonfly and more, alongside a host of local Sussex based talent, and up and coming artists from across the country.

Managing Director Harry White said “2025 is our biggest year ever. It’s easy to say that every year as we’re always growing, but with a second stage and always twice as many bands, this really feels like a step up. We’re really proud of what we’ve achieved this year.”

Harry’s team also delved into over 170 bands applying to earn slots at the event, with a star team including film director Adam Leader and drummer Luke Keast of

Esoterica assisting in whittling down the incredible up and coming talent.

Promoting grass roots talent is a passion of ours, and bands get the full rockstar treatment for the weekend: particularly when it comes to putting them on a big stage to a large audience, and getting them professional photos and videos.”- Harry White

A Hammerdown Festival Warm Up show will also be taking place at The Factory Live, Worthing, on Saturday July 5th, featuring festival bands In Search Of Sun and Sypha, as well as a competition runner up, plus 2 special guest bands.

Within Temptation announce support acts for the 'Bleed Out Tour 2024'

WITHIN TEMPTATION are thrilled to unveil the lineup of support acts accompanying them on their 'Bleed Out 2024 Tour', which kicks off in October 2024.
