The Lockhearts – Psychedelic Video From High Tempo Rock Band - Feature For Indie Band Guru

This Australian melodic rock quartet The Lockhearts haven’t been together for long, forming in 2012. They started out headlining weekly at the Spectrum in Sydney allowing them to develop and engulf a local fan base, and then here they are exploding onto the scene with their debut music video for “Freakshow” (directed by Tanzeal Rahim) and being heavily backed by MTV who have heavily played the video which has swept in to claim the number two spot at peak in the hit charts!

Its not hard to see why MTV are on board with the band as this powerhouse rock act have jumped right in and made their presence known with an unique and exciting driven sound. The accompanying video adds to their appeal with a flair of passion, enthusiasm and crazy fun antics! This band are having a blast and have tones of energy and flamboyance to go along with their rock ‘n’ roll attitude. The visuals in the video have high impact and an almost psychedelic feel being very creative and cool with fluorescent lighting effects, which are particularly used well to ‘highlight’ the super slick guitar solo! Enjoy it for yourself here:solo! Enjoy it for yourself here:

There’s no denying they ‘got soul’ with their highly melodic make you want to move music..I think its safe to say this is a ‘freakshow’ you will want to be a part of; just look at what they have achieved largely based on just one single, imagine what is to come from The Lockhearts.
Luckily we don’t have to wait long to hear more from The Lockhearts as they plan to release new music every few months through their label Sunday Morning Records, and will be keeping busy and building their fan base by extensively touring!

Keep up with the band at: www.thelockhearts.com

REVIEW: Spreading The Disease - Insurrection

Modern metal quartet Spreading The Disease from Kent, UK formed in 2014 and then earlier this year in September 2017 they finally unleased their debut album ‘Insurrection’ which shows they are ready to infect metalheads and critics alike with their no-nonsense sounds…
Opening song ‘Find My Path’ starts with a melodic and resonant intro before fierce vocals come in with hard-hitting heavy guitars, it then goes on to feature an effective stripped back section towards the end which gives it extra depth. This is a powerful and strong start to the album.
‘Words Unspoken’ is a thumping tune with great rhythms and is very headbang worthy and incredibly catchy, keeping up the momentum is self-named track ‘Spreading The Disease’ which immediately pulls you in with catchy melodies and is all consuming with mighty riffs and a massive aggressive sound.
Latest single ‘Greed’ is frantic and driven and features some of the best guitarwork so far and again is very belligerent and is bound to get the mos…

Band-Maid MCM Comic Con Live Review/Feature - Fringe Festival 29/5/16

J-Rockers Band-Maid make first European performance at huge MCM Comic Con

Band-Maid, one of Japan’s up-and-coming all-girl rock acts, made their live debut to UK/Europe at MCM London Comic Con, which took place from 27-29th May 2016 at ExCel London, hosting the UK's biggest Modern Pop Culture Event.

The Tokyo quintet who formed in 2013, consisting of Miku (guitar/vocals), Saiki (vocals), Kanami (guitar), Akane (drums) and bassist Misa – have been building quite a reputation and fan-base all over with their blend of cute yet deadly rock music and stand out imagery (appropriately dressing as maids) whilst they unleash and deliver their seriously skilled and striking sounds. The concept of the maid outfit aesthetic stems from founder Miku’s experiences in the maid cafes of Akihabara – the Tokyo district known for otaku (‘geek’) culture and passion for rock music.

Through their music videos they have been reaping success and gaining well deserved attention, especially for the videos f…
