Snakefarm Records Announces Launch With Siging Of Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown

Nashville rockers become first band on fresh imprint under the Spinefarm Records banner. Self-titled album to be SNAKEFARM’s premiere release on November 3rd, 2017.

SNAKEFARM to focus on new and recognized names in the worlds of roots rock music with blues & country inflections.

SNAKEFARM RECORDS is delighted to confirm Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown as the first act to join the label following a freshly-inked worldwide deal.

Housed within the global infrastructure of Spinefarm Records (a UMG label), the Snakefarm brand will provide a supportive home for international artists, both established and new, from the increasingly buoyant roots rock world – music based on authenticity and emotion, under-pinned by a core set of values and beliefs.

In this respect, Nashville-based Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown – fresh from guesting with Guns n’ Roses – stand as a flagship representation, ticking all of the available boxes.

Comprised of Caleb Crosby on drums, Graham Whitford on guitar, Noah Denney on bass and backing vocals, and Texas-born Tyler on guitar and vocals, the quartet released six-track EP ‘The Wayside’ in 2015, produced by Grammy Award-winner Vance Powell and released via Spinefarm in the UK and Europe. This six-track outing made it clear that here was a group with the skill and the knowledge to draw from the glories of the past whilst simultaneously keeping a clear eye on the future, mixing history with a youthful, energetic heartbeat.

Due to be released on November 3rd, 2017, the new self-titled TBSD album (and debut Snakefarm release) was crafted in Nashville by the band and mixed by producer / engineer / multi-instrumentalist John Fields (Soul Asylum, Paul Westerberg), featuring a brand new set of infectious and varied songs, some of which – including epic rocker ‘Aftershock’– have become staples of the live set.

In 2016, TBSD joined friends and Nashville neighbors The Cadillac Three for a tour of the UK, sharing the stage with the headliners on a nightly basis – the start of an on-the-road, ‘round-the-world adventure that has seen them guesting with some of rock’s foremost legends (AC/DC, Aerosmith, Deep Purple, G n’ R), appearing at the Download and Ramblin’ Manfestivals in the UK, and generally becoming as comfortable projecting their passion into stadiums as rockin’ out in theaters and clubs…

It’s been a whirlwind run that is set to continue through 2017-18, with headline shows and festivals already announced, and being added to, on both sides of the Atlantic. However, it’s the new Snakefarm Records release that’s first on the agenda.

Says Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown:-

“We’re beyond excited to be teaming up with Snakefarm to release our new self-titled album. We’ve become close with their team, and have learned that their passion for real music is not rivalled by many. That’s something we both share. Together, we’re gonna take our brand of rock ‘n’ roll to as many people as we possibly can.”

Adds Snakefarm/Spinefarm UK Head of A & R / King Cobra Dante Bonutto:-

“There’s so much great activity in rootsy guitar music right now, and Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown are the perfect group to both showcase and celebrate everything that’s going on. They’re young, they’re dedicated to their craft, they’ve got barrel-loads of attitude, and they rock hard… and when they get onto a stage, and they’ve already occupied some of the biggest stages there is, they know how to entertain. Snakefarm and The Shakedown, The Snake and The Shake, it feels completely right…”

Band-Maid MCM Comic Con Live Review/Feature - Fringe Festival 29/5/16

J-Rockers Band-Maid make first European performance at huge MCM Comic Con

Band-Maid, one of Japan’s up-and-coming all-girl rock acts, made their live debut to UK/Europe at MCM London Comic Con, which took place from 27-29th May 2016 at ExCel London, hosting the UK's biggest Modern Pop Culture Event.

The Tokyo quintet who formed in 2013, consisting of Miku (guitar/vocals), Saiki (vocals), Kanami (guitar), Akane (drums) and bassist Misa – have been building quite a reputation and fan-base all over with their blend of cute yet deadly rock music and stand out imagery (appropriately dressing as maids) whilst they unleash and deliver their seriously skilled and striking sounds. The concept of the maid outfit aesthetic stems from founder Miku’s experiences in the maid cafes of Akihabara – the Tokyo district known for otaku (‘geek’) culture and passion for rock music.

Through their music videos they have been reaping success and gaining well deserved attention, especially for the videos f…

REVIEW: Spreading The Disease - Insurrection

Modern metal quartet Spreading The Disease from Kent, UK formed in 2014 and then earlier this year in September 2017 they finally unleased their debut album ‘Insurrection’ which shows they are ready to infect metalheads and critics alike with their no-nonsense sounds…
Opening song ‘Find My Path’ starts with a melodic and resonant intro before fierce vocals come in with hard-hitting heavy guitars, it then goes on to feature an effective stripped back section towards the end which gives it extra depth. This is a powerful and strong start to the album.
‘Words Unspoken’ is a thumping tune with great rhythms and is very headbang worthy and incredibly catchy, keeping up the momentum is self-named track ‘Spreading The Disease’ which immediately pulls you in with catchy melodies and is all consuming with mighty riffs and a massive aggressive sound.
Latest single ‘Greed’ is frantic and driven and features some of the best guitarwork so far and again is very belligerent and is bound to get the mos…
