MEET THE BANDS

Wolf Jaw – A show-stealing three-piece consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist Tom Leighton, bassist Dale Tonks, and drummer Karl Selickis. Wolf Jaw’s combination of raw power, passion and nostalgia has created a sound that's described as “Thunderous Rock'n'Roll” by their loyal fans and reviewers alike. You can be sure that every time this power trio hit a stage you’re in for a roller coaster of riffs, solid grooves and choruses that will have you singing all the way home and forever more; they make sure you don't forget them in a hurry.

Hollowstar – Surging into the top five in the ‘Best New Band’ category at Planet Rock’s 2019 awards, Hollowstar are carving out their own route to the top. Paved with hard-hitting riffs and cemented by melodic yet inherently impactful lyrics. Drawing upon a diverse range of influences to create their signature sound, the band’s highly- honed music and Joe’s impressive pipes are entrenched in classic rock, yet rather than just idly regurgitating their influences, Hollowstar’s sound is decidedly fresh and ingrained with their own personality. Hollowstar are Joe Bonson (vocals / bass), Phil Haines (Guitar), Tom Collett (Guitar) and Jack Bonson (Drums).

Black Tree Vultures – Recently described by Classic Rock Magazine as “Manly No-Bullshit beef with a modern edge”, Black Tree Vultures have made serious headway across the U.K. and European music scene, playing their original music on what is described as “The Never Ending Tour” across countless cities including London, Birmingham and Edinburgh. The band’s four members, Celyn Beynon (Lead Vocals), Aaron “Ham” Hammersley (Lead Guitar), Ched “Cheese” Cheeseman (Bass) and Jonno Smyth (Drums), have managed to create a raw sound that certainly screams power.

False Hearts – False Hearts manifest a melodic yet hard-hitting sound which has captured the attention of music fans across the country. Comprised of vocalist/guitarist Emma Hodgson, lead guitarist Ali Westwood, drummer Adi Bowes and bassist Phil Benton, False Hearts create their distinctive brand of modern rock inspired by bands such as Halestorm, Shinedown and The Pretty Reckless.

Band-Maid MCM Comic Con Live Review/Feature - Fringe Festival 29/5/16

J-Rockers Band-Maid make first European performance at huge MCM Comic Con

Band-Maid, one of Japan’s up-and-coming all-girl rock acts, made their live debut to UK/Europe at MCM London Comic Con, which took place from 27-29th May 2016 at ExCel London, hosting the UK's biggest Modern Pop Culture Event.

The Tokyo quintet who formed in 2013, consisting of Miku (guitar/vocals), Saiki (vocals), Kanami (guitar), Akane (drums) and bassist Misa – have been building quite a reputation and fan-base all over with their blend of cute yet deadly rock music and stand out imagery (appropriately dressing as maids) whilst they unleash and deliver their seriously skilled and striking sounds. The concept of the maid outfit aesthetic stems from founder Miku’s experiences in the maid cafes of Akihabara – the Tokyo district known for otaku (‘geek’) culture and passion for rock music.

Through their music videos they have been reaping success and gaining well deserved attention, especially for the videos f…

REVIEW: Spreading The Disease - Insurrection

Modern metal quartet Spreading The Disease from Kent, UK formed in 2014 and then earlier this year in September 2017 they finally unleased their debut album ‘Insurrection’ which shows they are ready to infect metalheads and critics alike with their no-nonsense sounds…
Opening song ‘Find My Path’ starts with a melodic and resonant intro before fierce vocals come in with hard-hitting heavy guitars, it then goes on to feature an effective stripped back section towards the end which gives it extra depth. This is a powerful and strong start to the album.
‘Words Unspoken’ is a thumping tune with great rhythms and is very headbang worthy and incredibly catchy, keeping up the momentum is self-named track ‘Spreading The Disease’ which immediately pulls you in with catchy melodies and is all consuming with mighty riffs and a massive aggressive sound.
Latest single ‘Greed’ is frantic and driven and features some of the best guitarwork so far and again is very belligerent and is bound to get the mos…
