STRANDED BY CHOICE drop new video GROUNDHOG ahead of album release

Montana based hard rock quartet Standed By Choice are set for release of their third studio album 'Lost By Design' on August 28th 2020. The band have released a snippet of the upcoming album with their new video 'Groundhog'.
The album boasts heavy riffs, soaring vocals and crushing grooves. It's a wonderful mix of country-style rock, hard rock and in parts, has a metal infusion.

“Shooting the video for Groundhog was very intense but at the same time extremely fun. In order to accomplish our concept of the video, it required us to play the entirety of the song in one outfit, mark our places, change outfits, then play the song again. I believe we ended up taking around thirty takes of the song. It was a lot of work but the end product was worth it.”
▪ Levi Luoma, drummer for Stranded By Choice

Stranded By Choice was formed over a decade ago against the rugged backdrop of central Montana. In an area where the vast plains meet the mountains and the mountains meet the sky, the veteran rockers have successfully captured the intensity and magnitude of the landscape from which they were forged.

Throughout the years Stranded By Choice have refined their unique blend of
classic rock, metal and country, both on the road and in the studio. With a thick dual guitar sound and a simplistic yet powerful approach to their song writing, SBC creates music that is catchy, listenable, and heavy.

While the influence of classics bands like Black Sabbath, Mountain and Thin
Lizzy is obvious in both their studio albums and live shows, the band also pulls heavily from bands like Red Fang, Clutch and Mastodon. This diverse approach allows Stranded By Choice to fit comfortably on a wide range of bills, from punk to metal and beyond.

2020 marks the release of Stranded By Choice’s third full-length album Lost By Design. Perhaps their best effort yet, Lost By Design perfectly captures the SBC sound. The album is accompanied by a music video for the new single “Groundhog” which like all of their videos was filmed on a working hay farm. This literal backyard imagery creates stunning visual accompaniment to the band’s music.

Stranded By Choice has toured the Northwest and Canada extensively and has shared the stage with Red Fang, Kylesa, Blacktop Mojo, Stabbing Westward, Black Wizard, Conan, The Kyle Gass Band, D.O.A. and many more great bands.

J-Rockers Band-Maid make first European performance at huge MCM Comic Con

Band-Maid, one of Japan’s up-and-coming all-girl rock acts, made their live debut to UK/Europe at MCM London Comic Con, which took place from 27-29th May 2016 at ExCel London, hosting the UK's biggest Modern Pop Culture Event.

The Tokyo quintet who formed in 2013, consisting of Miku (guitar/vocals), Saiki (vocals), Kanami (guitar), Akane (drums) and bassist Misa – have been building quite a reputation and fan-base all over with their blend of cute yet deadly rock music and stand out imagery (appropriately dressing as maids) whilst they unleash and deliver their seriously skilled and striking sounds. The concept of the maid outfit aesthetic stems from founder Miku’s experiences in the maid cafes of Akihabara – the Tokyo district known for otaku (‘geek’) culture and passion for rock music.

Through their music videos they have been reaping success and gaining well deserved attention, especially for the videos f…

Modern metal quartet Spreading The Disease from Kent, UK formed in 2014 and then earlier this year in September 2017 they finally unleased their debut album ‘Insurrection’ which shows they are ready to infect metalheads and critics alike with their no-nonsense sounds…
Opening song ‘Find My Path’ starts with a melodic and resonant intro before fierce vocals come in with hard-hitting heavy guitars, it then goes on to feature an effective stripped back section towards the end which gives it extra depth. This is a powerful and strong start to the album.
‘Words Unspoken’ is a thumping tune with great rhythms and is very headbang worthy and incredibly catchy, keeping up the momentum is self-named track ‘Spreading The Disease’ which immediately pulls you in with catchy melodies and is all consuming with mighty riffs and a massive aggressive sound.
Latest single ‘Greed’ is frantic and driven and features some of the best guitarwork so far and again is very belligerent and is bound to get the mos…
