UK PUNK LEGENDS INSTIGATORS RETURN & CONFIRMED TO PLAY REBELLION FESTIVAL AUGUST 8TH AND MORE!

In the latter half of the Eighties you'd have struggled to find a harder working group than INSTIGATORS. Now in 2025, the band are set to return for the first time in thirty years and are confirmed to play the legendary Rebellion Festival in Blackpool on August 8th, alongside further gigs and the much-anticipated coloured vinyl reissues of the 1986 ’Phoenix‘ album and ’Shockgun‘ from ‘88, both ready for release on August 1st on the Boss Tuneage Retro Series imprint. ’Phoenix‘ was originally released in 1986 on legendary punk label Bluurg and was the first release from the classic second line up of the band, which featured original guitarist Simon Mooney teamed up with Andy Turner (ex XPOZEZ) on vocals, and the rhythm section of Andy Turnbull on bass and S...

But when you’ve got something to prove and nothing left to lose? That’s when you’re at your most dangerous,” Vocalist/Guitarist Matt Walst emphasises, and continues, “‘Dominate’ isn’t just a word — it’s a mindset. You take the hits. You push through t...

Forged in fury and driven by defiance, the band’s brand of heavyweight riffage and sonic hostility is impossible to ignore. We exclusively caught up with the Paradox crew as they gear up to unleash chaos, and they let us in on the tracks that have defined, inspired, and fueled 'Deathwish'. Ollie Miles (Lead Guitar): Bleed from Within - 'I am Damnation':    "I just love BFW, and this opener on their Shrine album is them at their best. The riffs are so catchy, and that middle interlude right before the outro, which is just a few lead notes on guitar, but placed so perfectly, ties it all together amazingly well. It's a style of dynamic I tried to emulate when writing for this album." Jorge Nuñes (Rhythm Guit...

BRUCE DICKINSON MORE BALLS TO PICASSO REWORKED ALBUM OUT JULY 25TH

In 1994, having left Iron Maiden for a time (he rejoined in 1999), Bruce Dickinson released his second solo album, entitled Balls To Picasso. Named in honour of the cubist pioneer whose representations of spherical objects were as squares, and reflected on the cover in graffiti style on a tiled bathroom wall, the album belied its irreverent title by solidifying Dickinson’s reputation as a serious solo artist. His first record with collaborator Roy Z, and recorded with Z’s band Tribe Of Gypsies, it went through various iterations before its release, produced by Shay Baby. The original album included a number of classic tracks and live favourites from Dickinson including the singles ‘Tears Of The Dragon’ and ‘Shoot All The Clowns’, alongside the much-loved epic ‘Laughing In The Hiding Bush’, which was the original title for the album. Yet despite its positive reception at the time, it never quite captured Dickinson’s original vision which was even more expansive in scope and ambit...
