CELLAR DARLING Announce "Lockdown" campaign starting on April 5th

Like many artists, CELLAR DARLING have been hit hard by the Coronavirus pandemic and the associated lockdown measures and show cancellations. Rather than giving in or just asking for money without offering something in return, they've announced a campaign where they will provide exclusive content to fans straight from their own homes and rehearsal space, culminating in a live-streamed performance at Lucerne's Soundfarm Studio.

The campaign will begin on 5 April with a live Q&A session at
www.cellardarling.com/lockdown-content

The live stream will take place on 3 May at 20:00 CEST | 19:00 BST | 14:00 EDT | 11:00 PDT | 15:00 BRT | 21:00 MSK | 03:00 JST | 02:00 SGT. Fans will be able to watch at www.cellardarling.com/live-at-soundfarm

Throughout the campaign, fans can contribute by donating directly to the band. The stream itself is 'pay-what-you-want' and will also be available for free for those who can't afford to contribute.

The band comment:
"There's no beating around the bush: we need your help. The recent cancellation of our European tour follows that of our shows in February and March. This means that we, like many artists and self-employed entertainment professionals, face massive expenses and a total loss of income of at least three months.

But it's not just artists who suffer, but all of you, too. Everyone's life is being impacted, and we think it's time for some positive distraction on the interwebs. That's why we are going to set up our gear at Anna's studio and play for you in your living rooms on 3 May 2020!

We've also come up with some ideas to shorten the wait, creativity being our main area of expertise. We will launch a "lockdown content" page on the 5 April featuring solo performances, playthroughs, interviews, and more —we might even be taking some requests...

We will start this off by doing a live Q&A session at
cellardarling.com/lockdown-content on 5 April at 20:00 CEST.

Let’s make the best of a bad situation by doing something positive together: rocking out, while staying at home!"

CELLAR DARLING's latest album, 'The Spell' will be completely visualised with animated music videos to present the whole story of the album in the enchanting and unmistakable style of Costin Chioreanu’s visual imagination. The remaining videos will be released later this year to complete the story so far.

REVIEW: Spreading The Disease - Insurrection

Modern metal quartet Spreading The Disease from Kent, UK formed in 2014 and then earlier this year in September 2017 they finally unleased their debut album ‘Insurrection’ which shows they are ready to infect metalheads and critics alike with their no-nonsense sounds…
Opening song ‘Find My Path’ starts with a melodic and resonant intro before fierce vocals come in with hard-hitting heavy guitars, it then goes on to feature an effective stripped back section towards the end which gives it extra depth. This is a powerful and strong start to the album.
‘Words Unspoken’ is a thumping tune with great rhythms and is very headbang worthy and incredibly catchy, keeping up the momentum is self-named track ‘Spreading The Disease’ which immediately pulls you in with catchy melodies and is all consuming with mighty riffs and a massive aggressive sound.
Latest single ‘Greed’ is frantic and driven and features some of the best guitarwork so far and again is very belligerent and is bound to get the mos…

INTERVIEW: Cellar Darling (Switzerland)

Cellar Darling is comprised of Anna Murphy, Ivo Henzi, and Merlin Sutter who recently formed following the spilt from previous well-known folk metal band, Eluveitie. The trio have been hard at work since, creating their anticipated debut album 'This Is The Sound' which was released June 30th via Nuclear Blast Records and have impressed fans and press alike with their fresh and unique sound which has been dubbed as "the new wave of folk rock“. This is an exciting and busy time for the band, so I caught up with them to find out about their origins, their new album, touring and what is in store for the band amongst other things..

Can you tell us about the formation of Cellar Darling following leaving your previous band Eluveitie and how the band came to be?
Merlin: What I remember most clearly is how quick it went. As you might know, the whole thing with Eluveitie came very unexpected for us - we were informed of a decision by the remain…
