REVIEW: Molly Karloff – Supernaturalation EP

Molly Karloff is a hard rock/metal groove trio from Oxford/London who have just unleashed their latest offering in the form of their 'Supernaturalation' EP.

First up is the title track, 'Supernaturalation' which is hard-hitting with driving riffs to open and continues throughout. It is packed with attitude and angst, making it an infectious straight-up hard rock anthem featuring a swaggering slick solo to top it off, this is a strong and memorable start to the EP.

Latest single ‘She said’ again pulls you in immediately with its crushing riffs. This is slower paced than the opener but equally as powerful as it is soaring and well-constructed with another stylish solo highlighting the band's capabilities.

‘Do You Wanna?’ is a no-nonsense fast pace energetic track with passionate lively vocals and will make you want to headbang and singalong. ‘Do It Again’ follows and is packed with melody, catchy hooks and fiery vocals in what is their darkest musically and lyrically - you will want to listen to this 'again'.

Final track ‘The Other Side’ is another slower paced robust track so ends on a well-rounded manner and shows the band can be diverse and still make an impact even when dialling it down a bit.

'Supernaturalation' is fast, fun and seriously catchy throughout with its raw edgy hard rock grooves and is brimming with energy and enthusiasm. It is clear the trio enjoy what they do and had a blast creating this, this is a solid EP which all will enjoy!

REVIEW: Spreading The Disease - Insurrection

Modern metal quartet Spreading The Disease from Kent, UK formed in 2014 and then earlier this year in September 2017 they finally unleased their debut album ‘Insurrection’ which shows they are ready to infect metalheads and critics alike with their no-nonsense sounds…
Opening song ‘Find My Path’ starts with a melodic and resonant intro before fierce vocals come in with hard-hitting heavy guitars, it then goes on to feature an effective stripped back section towards the end which gives it extra depth. This is a powerful and strong start to the album.
‘Words Unspoken’ is a thumping tune with great rhythms and is very headbang worthy and incredibly catchy, keeping up the momentum is self-named track ‘Spreading The Disease’ which immediately pulls you in with catchy melodies and is all consuming with mighty riffs and a massive aggressive sound.
Latest single ‘Greed’ is frantic and driven and features some of the best guitarwork so far and again is very belligerent and is bound to get the mos…

J-Rockers Band-Maid make first European performance at huge MCM Comic Con

Band-Maid, one of Japan’s up-and-coming all-girl rock acts, made their live debut to UK/Europe at MCM London Comic Con, which took place from 27-29th May 2016 at ExCel London, hosting the UK's biggest Modern Pop Culture Event.

The Tokyo quintet who formed in 2013, consisting of Miku (guitar/vocals), Saiki (vocals), Kanami (guitar), Akane (drums) and bassist Misa – have been building quite a reputation and fan-base all over with their blend of cute yet deadly rock music and stand out imagery (appropriately dressing as maids) whilst they unleash and deliver their seriously skilled and striking sounds. The concept of the maid outfit aesthetic stems from founder Miku’s experiences in the maid cafes of Akihabara – the Tokyo district known for otaku (‘geek’) culture and passion for rock music.

Through their music videos they have been reaping success and gaining well deserved attention, especially for the videos f…
