Long Live ATREYU! Video for title track of new album, Long Live , premieres via Vevo Album out September 18 th via Search and Destroy/Spinefarm Records Approximately a year ago, Atreyu – one of the pivotal, definitive groups of the American hard rock and heavy metal scene that dominated the ’00s – emerged from a period of self-imposed dormancy; the musicians played both festivals and sold-out headline shows, released a new song that earned instant social media trending status ( ‘So Others May Live’ ), and commenced writing a new album, to the delight of the fans. Straight Line Stitch Interview with Alexis Brown

You have a new EP out in June, called ‘Transparency’, which I had the pleasure of hearing, and absolutely loved by the way! But what made you decide to release another EP following your self-titled EP in 2014? Thank you so much! It's been over four years since we released any new music & we wanted to test the waters first. We figured it was about time. If the EP gets a strong enough response then ultimately we'll definitely move forward with a full length. What can you tell us about the themes and concept behind the new EP? Transparency was written during a very bleak and hopeless time when we had nothing & no one. Through the living hell that we were experiencing at the time there came a certain kind of clarity that gave us the strength to persevere. Although, their was so much tribulation surrounding us we started to see things clearly for the first time in years & therefore Transparency was born. Being able to see a light (no matter how small) at the end...

Straight Line Stitch – Transparency EP Review

Female fronted American Heavy Metal band return with new EP, ‘Transparency’ following their 2014 self-titled EP, no doubt to wet our appetites while we wait for the upcoming full length release they are working on!... ‘Out Of The Shadows’ acts as a prologue which is eerie, atmospheric and sets the scene and flows effortlessly into, ‘Dark Matter’ which packs a punch with its fast driven hooks, superb sincere clean melodic vocals paired with divergent insane screamed vocals from Alexis, doing what she does best! This is a definite highlight, which has the ratio of melodic and metal nailed! The instruments compliment her vocals wonderfully and help add extra intrigue and depth.. ‘Out Of Body’ opens on a soothing intro, which shows their softer side in contrast. This has tonnes of passion and heartfelt vocals, aided by the ambient and intricate layered instruments. Although this is mellower it still asserts itself strongly, just as much as when they are throwing everything h...

MAMMOTHFEST GETS BOLD and ANNOUNCES STAGE LINE UPS with YET MORE BANDS! MAMMOTHFEST have managed to bring back an exceptional band ONCE A WOLF from the dead along with the additions of SEETHING AKIRA, METAPRISM, LAST DAYS OF ROME and INEO to the main event in 2015. As well as the mighty ONSLAUGHT we are proud to welcome LAST DAYS OF ROME to the event. With obliterating Meshuggah style riffs, off kilt time signatures and poly rhythms there is no better way to start MAMMOTHFEST 2015 than by fucking with your heads: INEO are a 4 piece instrumental band with a strong likeness to Animals as Leaders but with their own unique styles that recently kept new fans locked in with blistering performances on their recent MAMMOTHFEST South coast tour. Arriving early is recommended to see them and all the other bands and cement your place in this small (destined to be sold out soon) up close and personal show with FEED THE RHINO who are also confirmed for Reading and Leeds festival MAI...
