Traditional American Metal band Corners of Sanctuary (COS) have released their new digital Def Leppard tribute EP titled "Defying." The EP is now available at a multitude of online retailers and streaming platforms including Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, iTunes and Youtube Music via Sonic Velocity Records. "Defying" includes cover versions of "Mirror, Mirror," "Rock of Ages" and a piano-envisioned version of the classic Leppard track, "Bringing on the Heartbreak." “Defying” was mastered by former Metal Blades Records engineer and producer Bill Metoyer (Slayer, Armored Saint).

"When working on a project like this, there are more challenges to surmount than first considered," said COS guitarist Mick Michaels. "Songs such as the ones we had chosen to do have such a legacy attached to the impact that comes from doing a cover version of your own has to essentially live up to the legacy...which, in the case of these Def Leppard songs, are legendary."

COS is putting the finishing touches up on the band's upcoming second best of installment, “Metal Never Dies,” which is scheduled to release this summer. Additionally, work continues on the band's next full-length album, "Vengeance of the Fallen."

New All-Stars melodic death metal band/project ACT OF DENIAL was formed in 2020 and composed of lead guitarist and songwriter Voi Cox (Koziak, Victim), guitarist and lyricist Luger (Benighted, Koziak), vocalist Bjorn Speed Strid (Soilwork), bassist Steve Di Giorgio (Death, Testament), drummer Krimh (Septicflesh) and keyboardist John Lönnmyr (The Night Flight Orchestra). Voi and Luger told us: “This is now just a continuation of what we have been doing all our lives and only now in our 'older age' we have done something serious. Of course when it comes to music, at least for us, we wanted to record an album with some of the best musicians in metal music and the ones that we listened to when we were kids. We are not saying that this is something special what we are doing, but this means a lot to us and basically we are doing this for ourselves and our closest friends first but also for all the metal fans around the world who we hope are going to like our new music.
